Sure seems that way. Then we'll have 100 plus pages of " Why won't my Cray run this with all sliders to the right? "

Thank you.

I hope they release a complete SDK that came with proper UI. A lot of the FSX SDK are command prompt only and they are not user friendly. I still rely on other third party software like SbuilderX, FSEarthtile, Airport Design Editor... and many others to create scenery. I also hope they update the Autogen Annotator to make it more useful. (if Autogen Annoator still exist)

Weather immersion.

Clouds of course. Dew, cloud/wing ice, runway ice, rain, heat and humidity affecting takeoff distance, the REAL dangers of flight that we must be thinking about all the time.

Lightning that lights up the inside of a cumulonimbus cloud like a light bulb. I'm staying away from this if I see it in the air! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4QI7OfWYx1w

A true overcast that doesn't bring a PC to it's knees, immersion of speed breaking through real 3d clouds, like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IV95H_TyJV8

I love the Wikipedia idea up there. One of the main reasons I really enjoy playing the assassins creed games is that I love history, and the way they give you loads of historical information in a natural way - the guided tour mode in the last one was genius.

- Good ATC that spaces AI on approach, stops the traffic jams and gives me more optiopns like SID & STARS, Route Changes etc.

- All the stuff I have currently like FS2CREW, GSX, UTLIVE etc. Can be ofc provided by 3rd parties

And a Career Mode!

- Create an airline

- Hire Pilots

- Buy Planes

- Plan routes & fly them self or AI

Or Join an airline as a pilot

- Dispatcher that gives you routes to fly (configurable to only allow routes with addon airports and planes)

If it is raining from distant clouds, I want to be able to see the rain shafts.  Including having the rain shafts tilted with the wind.  I've seen it often enough in real life.

Pretty much everything has been covered so need to repeat, but agree with most. But would like to reiterate having some intelligence to AI traffic, and airport ground traffic.  If they could be ATC controlled that would be awesome. Alot of things there is some great addons, they just need to be adapted and more robust to be integrated in the new sim.  Like all the work that came from the AIG AI's with all the liveries and variety of aircraft. Truly outstanding.

But cant believe no one has mentioned the full motion chair with included hydraulics and pneumatics upon purchase of FS2020 shipped to your door.   😄

3. Addon management similar to the one Steam has for its games. Full compatibility and automated install and updates.

4. Max addon price to 30 EUR. No 100 EUR addon should be allowed. PMDG either adapt or disappears. They milked this community for far too long

Interesting you see that way, if you hate PMDG so much then just don't buy their products.

Now, let me provide some real facts. Steam and Flight wanted up to 60% commission to allow anybody selling products via their content portal, I believe MS will do exactly the same as it is their way to do business (aggressive and greedy).

Assuming they do, do you think PMDG would reduce their price and give such amount to MS? Would you do this if you have a business?

Personally I find it very difficult to accept anybody wanting to have such amount of commission, specially when I do all the work, support, marketing, etc.

To be frank anyone asking me more than 8% of commission is asking a lot, Simmarket wants 30%, Flight1 and others range on the same area and in my opinion that is very greedy and this is the reason why you guys can see more and more developers selling directly on their websites.

Having MS putting such amount of commission and controls would not encourage 3rd party developers to provide content for users or drive prices down, all the contrary you will see many developers just withdrawing from the business, staying with P3D/XP or increasing the prices to be able to stay in business.

And another food for thoughts, I invite everyone to research how much Microsoft charge for their own custom developed DLC for other games, they are not cheap, some go over 100 USD.

I provide freewares, I am about to release my first payware soon just because lots of people asked me to do so, and they wish me to develop more, but to be honest if MS proceed as I believe, don't expect me to work under such circumstances as it is not worth it.

Well said @simbol. Long live the independent developer who can sell direct to his customers and keep most of the price paid.

I saw that comment about €30 max for quality aircraft and didn’t know whether to laugh or cry. In the end I just rolled my eyes heavenwards.

Here are many of the features I'd like to see in a new flight sim:

  • Scenery editor
  • Amazing graphics also at ground level
  • Support for all kinds of vehicles

Simmerhead - Making the virtual skies unsafe since 1987!

Fully fledged Combat Flight Simulator, with physically correct flight dynamics  and terminal effects for associated weapons.

Physically correct damage and destruction to targets and aircraft (including depending on where they've been hit, by what, and under what conditions (eg catastrophic airframe breakup if at high speed, possibly survivable damage if at lower speed, and depending also on number and "quality" of hits (and you can land soon enough)).

Loss of fuel, hydraulic systems.

Dispense functioning flares and other counter measures that properly divert attacking weapons.

Ability for transport aircraft to discharge varied-weight parachute cargo at various altitudes onto difficult target locations (crosswinds, downdrafts, sandstorms).

Ability to design and test your own weird aircraft with correct physics for whatever you put together (ducted fans etc for VTOL)

Land on pitching deck of small warships in stormy seas, gusting winds, driving rain.

Aircraft :

Hind

F35 A, B, C

Sukhoi 29

A400

B2

One can dream, and drool, in hope!

😜🙏

1. No legacy code.

2. No legacy code

And most importantly,

3. No legacy code.

Funny how we all want different things from the same product.  I don't want anything on that list! 😁
