Is the new PMDG 737NGXu worth the 99$ as an update to my 737NGX?

They should have offered a credit for people that bought the NGX in the past month towards the NGXu.

They should, and the fact it came out of the blue and tried to be funny about it.

I doubt they would care, lack of empathy with their customers, I use to be a big fan, and then FSL came along.

That said, I've timed the engine acceleration out of ground idle and it's 2 to 3 times too fast compared to the real NG.

This, plus the basically since many years unusable flight director, would make me think twice before even considering to buy this one.

I was just as horrified last year when it came out to the public. You can't beat a crime with a crime.

I can also understand it a little when a company tries to grab the a..holes who steal their product and want to damage their company.

I think FSL has learned its lesson and it will never happen again, also because they are now under special observation. I'm more worried about Windows 10 and all the data they send home from my PC every day with the blessing of all buyers.

Anyway, the FSL A320 is certainly not perfect, but it comes closer than others I guess. And compared to what a real Airbus 320 costs 😉

PS: And the question is not wich produkt is the best - PMDG, FSL, Majestic or Leonardo. The question was: is the NGXu worth the $99.99 if you own the previous version and see it as an update?

I personally love the PMDG stuff, but I will skip this one. 99 bucks for another 737 is not worth it for me personally.

Also I am drawn away from P3D currently by WoW Classic.... so..... 🙂

For me its like a hell . My oldest son has come home from work education on college with what we in danish call "fnat" which is a skin hell with stuff under your skin scracthing all day long, but any way

My wallet for Christmas has only place to one . FSL a321 or the NGXu

Normally i just go with what comes first as i just have to get all that god stuff anayway :-)

I just want my VR CDU II and my CPFLIGHT stuff to work and then i am all in for the NGXu

After having the NGXu for about a week I struggle to find much that is all that different from the original NGX which IMHO has stood the test of time very well.  You would need to be a bit of an NGX nut to go for this.  Maybe there heaps of things that have escaped my attention but after several flights I can only think of the EFB (which I don't find I need) and the new taxi function which I do like.  Then there is the cockpit dynamic lighting which is a performance hog and something I could do without.  Without the down payment on the NG3 for MS2020 it would be a non starter.

I was on the fence on this one for a while, but decided to get it.  This is the fourth B737 that I buy from PMDG.  I still say the "u" in NGXu stands for U pay for it again, but I think it's worth it with the credit towards the FS2020 version.  In this "update" I do like how much smoother the gauges update, including the PFD.  I also like the immersive sounds.  The PBR looks good.  The product quality and the new options are also good for me.

Here's looking to B737 number 5 in FS2020.

I think it is a testament to just how impressive the NGX is that it still looks and feels like a product that could have been released last year, rather than eight years ago! I have no intention of upgrading to the NGXu, as the NGX is more than good enough for me.

You see, you come out with comments like that and it's just rubbish and so misleading to others.

Unless you entered the pirate version user name and code NOTHING was installed on your PC. So don't talk rubbish or give the full facts. Also when you enter a perfectly normal code the program that would have been triggered if your were pirating was auto deleted.

So no one "installed" a trojan that was using a legit order number only the pirated number would set it off. Also you don't add that the pirate that pirated the FSL that was costing FSL thousands of pounds closed his site down and wiped himself off the internet after this. Also it was the pirates themselves that reported this to the world....poo who "i cannot use my eliegel copy anymore"

A massive storm over nothing. Unless you steal your software......

I at that time had problems with the FSL I installed that version number around 8-10 times and guess what? Nothing because My version was not a pirate version so no "Trojan" was ever installed. So don't make out that everyone got a Trojan if they installed the FSL because its just wrong.

I will tell you who feeds misinformation about it.

Frugul as he is personal friends with Robert at PMDG and they hate Leftis as he was the guy that made the MD and left with the code and people wonder why there was never a update.

PMDG hate FSL for the above.

Aerosoft hate FSL and I understand there POV but to keep spreading misinformation is just as bad in another way. I have even seen a mod here who is a Aerosoft beta tester doing it here. Shameful.

Also what on earth has this got to do with "is the NGXu worth ......" answer..nothing!

What they did was highly illegal. Please don't condone their actions.
*Everyone* who installed that version of the A320 was at risk from the embedded malware because of the unsecured data dump of extracted user data.

They even 'apologised' and offered refunds because they knew that they had word not allowed up.

Anyway, highly OT.

I'm very happy with the NGX-not-u. It's not as pretty as the new release, but it performs the same role, that is short-haul Boeing narrow-body action.
I'm biding my time to see who develops what aircraft and to what standard for MSFS.

IMO NGXu is a very worthwhile upgrade to an already great NGX. My only issue is I hate flying airliners single pilot and FS2 Crew will be some time coming. I'm now considering MCE because I understand it already works with NGXu. MCE also has a module for the TFDi 717 which I don't think Byron has any intention of doing.

I don't care it was all BS and hyped, link as many BS posts as you like. I agree it was wrong on one level but frankly if it stops pirates and it did big time am happy for it. Just like I don't mind camera on every street.

Show me one person who it affected who had a legit copy! simply it did not.
