The development team, as well as all the media pertaining to the new Microsoft Flight Simulator has been explicit with respect to the title of the project. It is NOT called "FS2020" or any derivative thereof.

What will it take to get Avsim (and others) to stop inventing titles?

I think the chosen title makes perfect sense. It makes clear its association to the original Microsoft Flight Simulator franchise, and the lack of a date qualifier at the end reinforces the revolutionary versus evolutionary nature of the reboot.

A burning first world issue!

We are all connected..... To each other, biologically...... To the Earth, chemically...... To the rest of the Universe atomically.

Because a flight simulator forum is where one comes to discuss burning first world issues?

The very first version from '82 was literally "Microsoft Flight Simulator".  So by 2019, 37 years later, its valid to use "FS2020" !!

I think not.. Greazer..

It was literally called Flight Simulator 1.0

It was not published by Microsoft.

Made up names are never valid.

We are obviously scraping the barrel for conversation

I was going to say that but I read the whole thread first. Thanks for saving me the time and trouble of posting something that has already been said.

Oh wait, that's S.O.P. around here.

The World is divided into two groups. Those who say "Give me a link" and those that provide the link. WWG1WGA

It's called Microsoft Flight Simulator, what's there to discuss?
