It's not called MSFS2020. Change my mind.

Long live FS20.

...….I don't think so. Come 2021 and you'll be using outdated software. Even worse, if it doesn't get released in 2020....

If the MS and Asobo's teams don't call it FS 2020 why pretend it has a different name than it does ?

Long live Microsoft Flight Simulator!

Case closed.... Can we now talk about something more constructive - or maybe even do some flying. Does anyone ever do that any more?

Perhaps you could show us all when Microsoft have referred to it as MSFS2020, as it seems I seem to have missed this.

I just did a short hop in virtual Japan this morning in XP11 to pay off my monthly maintenance fees in the FSEconomy game. Some of us are still flying. If you want a little kick in the pants to keep flying, try "owning" a couple of aircraft in FSEconomy ever since they added the monthly maintenance!

Oh, and for the record it's MSFS. 😉

For the history buffs or the easily confused, I suppose it could be "the new MSFS" at least until the first year after release. No idea how this 2020 idea got started.

Oh, come on. The thread is harmless.

I'm just calling attention to an inexplicable phenomenon whereby people are intentionally calling it by one of several incorrect names.

It's an opportunity to reflect. 😉

Try and have some fun.

Their official YouTube channel, what's the FS logo mean? So are they calling it Flight Simulator, the F is in Blue and the S is Grey. Thanks Microsoft, now we are really confused 🙂 If you look real close with a magnifier you'll see an 11, in the lower right hand corner next to the S...NOT, I am just messing with you 🙂 Next topic, Oxygen, do we really need it to live 🙂

Maybe we should have a poll 😛. I'm going with FS2020. Just goes along with all the previous titles. When you put FS in front of it, you know whats it about!

If we called it by its correct name MIcrosoft Flight Simulator outsiders would know what we where talking about thus destroying our status as experts. That's why we and other elitist groups have to develop their own secret hand shake. Cough I mean specialist vocabulary like P3D easily mistaken for P3D etc.Otherwise, we'd never get the worm feeling of hubris in our bellies.

Hello all,

I am probably going to upset someone with this statement but...

I have not bothered to scroll through 4 pages of something I consider largely irrelevant.

I do not care what it is called .... just .... GIMME

Great thread.

From now on, I will refer to it as FS20 just to annoy all the OCD people around here.

Who wants to type out "Microsoft Flight Simulator" each time?

Most people realize it's not nor will be called "Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020," but it doesn't hurt to be specific with sim nerds. To me Microsoft Flight Simulator covers 30 years of products. "MSFS2020" is the best. 😐

Who wants to type out MSFS2020 the whole time.. when MSFS will do..
