P3D version 5 Hot Fix now available.

I did a full un-install and install with new installer. I did not move or delete my addons folder, so all of the addons I already had installed before were still there. Started it up and the sim worked just fine. VR working very well, plus with the True atmosphere it looks really amazing. True atmosphere works in VR in stereo and mono, but disabled in single pass mode. No problems at all so far. Will do a long flight tonight and report back.

If anyone else here is not yet using Oliver's tool/piece of art, go and get it now and add as much of your old-school scenery as possible with the addon.xml method. It will make these kinds of re-installs so much easier.

So, tell me, what should I do if I follow the instructions and uninstall via control panel, but the folder with all the content is still installed?

I was going to ask if it was necessary to remove v5 fully before installing the new one, but since I didn't have much installed in the first place (only have some AI installed and about 5 airports) I will just go ahead and delete v5 and then install the updated v5.

For my understanding:

All if my Addons our outside V5.

What do I do with the 2 folders with the cfg files ?

I use AO. Can I make a Backup and put it back afterwards ?

I have the same issiue as lorbi after uninstallting old version completly and reinstalling the new. 

Splash screen shows up and then nothing.  Not even a message in event viewer

I had the same issue with the add-ons causing it to stop working after trying to activate them.

Narrowed it down to ones i had created using AO.

 

Update,

I found my issue was caused by not have the "description line" completed in the addon.xml.
