Glad to see he mentioned Ai traffic with regards to GA. I had a feeling the sim would not stream live GA well or at all. All the more reason to use custom AI flight plans...when it becomes available.

This is only confirming my perception, that the release comes at least 3 months too soon and that the Beta phase should be at least thrice as long as it is now.

These issues are not minor.

Maybe you are right. I was thinking it would be a thanksgiving time release to get the holiday buyers. I don't know the reason, but they must have thought getting it out now is a better proposition that waiting longer. (we might never know why).

 People could pretend the release date is not the 18th 🙈, wait until November 18th after some hotfixes and patches have been released, and then buy MSFS at a more polished stage.

Some people might be turned off by some of the issues on release day, but those would be mostly (I believe) casual flight sim users who will buy it, play it a while for the graphics, and then move on to the next big game release. But for those who love flight sims, they will push through the rough, not polished game, and will LOVE the ability to play it NOW instead of waiting. 

Look at all the people here who were hoping to get into the beta, now they all can,  🙂 at a price.

Maybe it would have been "better" "nicer" if there was a discounted price to get in now, or wait for a more polished game at a higher price...like DayZ has done...

Well, it's not. So just wait three months. There's nothing else we can do about it. Asobo has their schedule and is releasing when they release. 

I may not play much until after the first few major updates as well.

I'm in the boat that's ready to play whatever they have ready knowing that updates will fix everything in the future...

I think we're thinking too far along the lines that this is the "final" release. As long as updates come frequently and everything is eventually addressed, I'm happier having access to the sim now.

You will, even after you uncover things that are wrong, like Lionel said the world is very big.  You will find other things that work brilliant even if they don't iron out all the glaring kinks now.

I am very interested in the new MS Flight Simulator.  I began flight simulation about a year ago and used Xp11, including Vulkan, to learn to fly.  Although I have flown a number of aircraft on Xp11, including the P51, Corsair, and the F18, Cessna G1000, and the Cirrus SF20 G1000, I like the Cirrus best as it it a single jet capable of 250 cruising and as little of 100 when I slow down to get a closer look.  I do sightseeing, low and slow, using AP and GPS coordinates to set up my sightseeing adventures.

I like Xp11 a lot, but desire better FPS performance and the highest level of detail possible.  Have seen the MS trailer and am intrigued by the notion of downloading scenery on the fly as XP11 seems to choke the CPU during rendering.  Also I have already accumulated 500GB in custom scenery and that only includes NJ, and part of NY.

I am running 3 screens giving me about 150 degrees of view.  Does the forthcoming MS simulator do that?  I have a robust computer.

Maingear, Intel i9 8 cores 500 auto turbo, NVIDIA 2080 TI, 2 1 TB SSD Drives, 32GB memory, 3 32" Acer Predator G-Sync Monitors running at 2K, 1 27" Monitor HDMI (Checklists, Etc.) , Honeycomb Alpha, 2 Logitech Throttle Assemblies.

I will go with the premier edition and my internet connection runs a 200mbs for download so I am hopeful that the CPU demand will be less than Xp11 which has to render on the fly?.

Can I get a PDF manual now so I can get prepare for installation and setup?

Does the package include a hard copy manual?

Is there a single jet plane similar to the Cirrus?

Is this the right forum for support once I begin Installation, if so, I welcome the opportunity to converse with fellow simmers.

Hi Henry!  This is one of the many forums which will likely have discussions about the upcoming sim.  I think your machine will do very well.  I don't think there's a manual yet - also I doubt there will be a hard copy manual.  Are you planning on purchasing the premium deluxe version?  It will be a download and not a physical DVD.  (Though I think Aerosoft is making DVD's for sale).  There will be a Citation CJ4 jet, much faster than the Cirrus Vision jet, but it can also go slow, so I think you'll enjoy that one.

And yes, on release day, I think this will be a good forum to ask questions in!

I'm thrilled it's being released as soon as it is. I don't care about the warts, it will be a WIP for the duration of its existence, and I'm ready to go explore the world. The content I've seen today has shown bugs and issues galore, and under all of them looks like an awesome platform on which I can spend many happy hours.

Personally I think they need to tone down the realism on the trees. It's just TOO realistic, you know? Makes me feel bad about the trees in my yard; I have tree envy, you might say.
