Yes. A 10900K and 2080Ti only pulls about 550 Watts peak when both are under full load. It should be plenty unless the 3090 uses an obscene amount of power.

Yeah thinking the 3080 is definitely the sweet spot for me.  I would love the 3090 but meh at 2x the cost its going to be a hard bullet to bite. I just hope they kill this silly founders edition pricing off this generation.  The 2080 Ti was supposed to be $999 for everyone and $1299 for the founders edition and I never saw it leave around that price range.  I think it really messed up their pricing last generation.

The relative performance chart seems fairly accurate to what we saw (2080 Super going about 20% above the 1080 Ti's performance) so that gets me excited but will obviously be waiting to see the real benchmarks which will likely drop next week sometime.

750w is needed. Tells you on the site. I think the bigger problem will be the length of it (313MM). Gonna be some people purchasing new cases!

Keep in mind that it also takes up 3 slots instead of just 2.

I sim at Ultra settings on 4K with a 1080ti.  Will upgrade so I can sim at 4K on three TVs.

i9-10900k * 64GB 3600MHz Ram * RTX 3090 running 3 75" 4k displays smoothly.

750w is recommended. Yes.
But I'm worried about all other components needing lots of juice.
I want a PSU that can comfortably deliver enough power at 70% of it's capacity.

Case is no problem in my case. I have monster MC500P Cooler Masters, but I think perhaps I should add a couple more fans.

Agreed!!

If I'm upgrading a PSU. I'd go for at least an 850w with the 3090 card!

I'm more worried about electricity bills than the cost of the GPU and PSU

Instant 2x 120mm Noctuas ziptied to the cooler, I did it on the 1070 and I'll do it again.
My PC is also in a wooden case that looks like part of a desk, all sound insulated, I hate high pitched fan noises.

Looking forward to some benchmarking to see if it’s worthwhile selling my 2080ti for something new.

I will be waiting for 3080Ti with more V-Ram or the Big Navi, I have a 2080Ti for now and can wait until all new cards are on the table and then choose the one that give me best performance in MSF 2020.
