And no comparisons between the RTX 2080 Ti and any of the new cards.

Gonna get the 3090, 10496 CUDA CORES! 24GB VRAM will definitely help with MFS in 4K for sure!

ASUS ROG Maximus Hero XII ▪︎ Intel i9-10900K ▪︎ NVIDIA RTX 3090 FE ▪︎ 64GB Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro ▪︎ Windows 10 Pro (21H1) ▪︎ Samsung 970 EVO Pro 1TB NVME SSD (OS Drive) ▪︎ Samsung 860 EVO 2TB SATA SSD ▪︎ Seagate 4TB SATA HDD ▪︎ Corsair RMx 850W PSU

BFGPU!!!!! 😁

New PC Ryzen 9850X3D - 32gb ddr5 6000Mhz - MSI MAG B850 Tomahawk wifi - Gigabyte wind force gaming OC 5090 - 2TB Sabrent NVMe. Old PC - Ryzen 5900x - 32gb 3600Mhz RAM - Asus Strix X570-F Motherboard - ASUS TUF OC RTX 3090 - 1TB Sabrent NVMe. AOC AGON 32" 144Hz - Honeycomb Yoke - Thrustmaster HOTAS Warthog. T Flight Rudder Pedals - Trackir.

When do you think we can expect the benchmarks? Do we need to wait until release?

  • RTX 3070 - $500, faster than RTX 2080 Ti
  • RTX 3080 - $700, double the RTX 2080 performance
  • RTX 3090 - $1.500, 36 shader TFLOPS

A relief to see that the models other than the top-end aren't more expensive than the last generation, and RTX 2080 Ti performance for $500 is a very nice generational leap. Be aware though that these cards will consume lots of power and run really hot, and the Samsung 10nm process is finally confirmed after so much misinformation.

Price seems way higher here in UK. On Nvidia site now,. 3090 starting at £1399.99......That's closer to 1875USD!

RTX3090!

We are going to probably need a 1250w PSU.

I'll go for a 3090 because of 24 GB VRAM, which will also be a big advantage for VR.

750w is needed. Tells you on the site. I think the bigger problem will be the length of it (313MM). Gonna be some people purchasing new cases!

VAT (sales tax) inclusive price for UK.

I'm hoping a 3080 Ti makes an appearance with a few more GB of RAM included.
Fingers crossed that AMD have something that can actually compete with their next gen of GPUs. Would be good to have a choice at least.

I am interested in the 3090 as well, but the presentation did not show a relative comparison to current gen cards for the 3090, unless I missed it.

3090 when EK waterblock available - it does 8k - 4k will be butter - awesome card

750w is recommended. Yes.
But I'm worried about all other components needing lots of juice.
I want a PSU that can comfortably deliver enough power at 70% of it's capacity.

Case is no problem in my case. I have monster MC500P Cooler Masters, but I think perhaps I should add a couple more fans.
