A320 V0.3.0 mod released

Featured Replies

I always shoot approach manually. I have no problem with controllability of A320. But there is something fishy about ILS it off set  localizer  to the right side of the runway. Odd indeed. Not sure why is it like. Sometimes ILS approach could be at slight angle, but this seem happening less then a mile from DH. This phenomena manifested twice KSFO 28R and at KIAH 15R.

First time using this mod and only second time using the A320.  Two questions.

1) The AoA is crazy for the aircraft and even with plenty of flaps it is angled up significantly.  Is this an issue of how I programmed the weight into the FMGS?  I took the weights from the weight and balance page after I had loaded the aircraft.  I set it to lbs.

2) There were no altitudes in the Flight Plan page, nor TOD calculated.  Is this normal at this stage of development?

I noticed the same, the standard 320 Neo behaves the same. I have no idea if it's realistic.

Yep, one of the things that keeps me from flying the A320.  I did try the mod last night and it looks nice and has a lot more systems modeled, but the flying characteristics still will keep me away from flying it more.  Hopefully the team will work on that aspect as well.

I fly the A320 constantly, agreed there was an issue around 50ft, but i have found its gone recently. I never use Auto throttle on landing.

Unless I am mistaken, I believe standard operating procedures for the Airbus are; unless Landing Cat III ,disconnect the Autopilot,( I have read various of various approach indicators where the PIC decides when to disconnect Autopilot such as 1.5 NM out, or at Decision height) ,  but leave the Autothrottle on. It will warn you to retard, retard, retard at about 20 feet above runway.. Any real Airbus pilots confirm?.

As MS and Aerosoft are partners, this might very well be the reason for ASOBOs hesitation to support them.

Yes, watch these mods become mysteriously useless after every FS2020 update 😉

I'm late here, but just the act of having auto throttle enabled fixes the issue?

No, not for me at least

Hello gents, two questions:

1. Airac update for default A320, do I have to use Navigraph beta for MSFS2020 to have latest database in A320 or how it looks like ?

2. Honestly inbuild fuel and payload setup is not good, especially if I use for example PFPX and I would like to have exactly the same fuel and payload in the sim as I did during briefing in PFPX. For example every single time have to recalculate fuel from gal/lb to kg etc. Do we have any external app/tool to setup fuel/payload in the sim ?

I am begining to wonder is there a concerted effort by some to undermine this sim... moaning every day.. hell if you dont like it go back to your out of date game, (That also likely had issues when released )

Sir,

I think you miss the point here. It's the process of investigating and identifying issues that make simulation better. This is how we invoke change. The items brought forth has substance and are not in a way to undermine the sim. I could very well as you say," go back to my out of date game". I do and I routinely do so. In actuality, I am a real world pilot who has been fortunate to fly real world for over 22 years. I have done a full range from military, cargo, airline and currently corporate aviation. But some don't have the option to experience aviation careers. This is where I come in. I started my interest with flight simulation and I give back to the community that shaped my aviation dreams. I have worked with many developers to get their aircraft by the numbers and do so at no charge. From Xplane to FSX and P3D I have worked with developers leaving my mark by assisting with capturing that real representation of flight. I will continue so that those who do not fly real world will know that experience through solid simulation. I even wonder if the information stated in this thread was brought up during alpha and beta. At any rate, you might call this moaning and dislike it, but you are entitled to an opinion like every one else. Have a nice week.

I think you are taking this from the wrong angle.

There are some trolls and MS bashers about (easy to spot them), but most people on here are invested in MSFS and are just trying to make it better.

Some of the points may come across as a bit negative, but they are really just highlighting them hoping that they issues will be made better, either by MS/Asobo or the dedicated FBW modders.

The discussion on here helps that in the main. 👍

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.
