Hey DJ, I am very new to MSFS and so a little unsure about installing mods and the directory layouts etc... it says Unzip the file in your Community directory, does this mean literally drop it into the community folder and do nothing else, or am I looking specifically for the aircraft folder? Cheers.

Now that you know how easy it is to add a mod, download Rob Young's G36 Turbo and G1000 mod and you will have another payware complex single that a joy to fly. You remember Rob Young from Realair? Of course you do!

Oh wow, of course. Blimey that sounds a treat! Thanks DJ, I will do that straight away.

Hi mate,

FYI, when an update comes its best to remove all mods from the community folder, install update, check forums etc to see if mods are still OK, some need updates.

Also this site is amazing for mods.https://flightsim.to/

For the UK look here https://flightsim.to/by-country/GB

Have fun.

David.

Cheers Dave, great advice. I have to admit, this new sim is reinvigorating much lost enthusiasm in simming over the past 12 months.   Advice please, re the Mooney mod, this is a far cry fromP3d! When I click on 'go to file' I'm faced with a long list of links  where exactly is the file to download? OK,sorted

... and a bump so that @Carenado doesn’t forget that we are waiting for them to actually finish this very nice GA single.

Since the panel.cfg is not encrypted, is it possible to make a glass cockpit mod for the Mooney or does that require modifying the model itself too?

Ryan- please let us know if you get any response from @Carenado... so far ZIP, NADA, ZILCH, NOTHING...

You can use FSUIPC as a temporary work around. Under the assignments menu pick either buttons and switches or key presses and assign unused controlled buttons or keys to XPNDR increments. You'll need four spare buttons/keys. Under the control sent when key pressed menu you'll find XPNDR 1 Inc, XPNDR 10 Inc, XPNDR 100 Inc, and XPNDR 1000 Inc options for incrementing the units tens hundreds and thousands of the transponder code respectively.

@qalup

Thanks for the tip. I use FSUIPC and LINDA extensively, and the transponder works through my VRInsight MCP with all default aircraft. Controlling @robert young ‘s Turbo Normalized G36 as been the closest I’ve gotten to ergonomics of old.

With payware, I really want the developer- in this case @Carenado to fix issues, rather than go back to their old philosophy of letting others do the limiting for them gratis. @Bert Pieke should have been on their payroll for a decade now... a few of their aircraft already owe the majority of their sales to his talents.

Anyone have the Logitech switch panel and notice the fuel switch doesn't work correctly with the Mooney? On mine, I hear it run for just a second and then shut off each time I engage the Logitech fuel switch.  The two fuel switches on the Mooney dash never move.

James

is the VS switch working fine? If your alt is not synched or the same with the altitude in the digital panel and you press VS, it activates a negative -500 fpm descent rate. Is this normal? If your alt is the same, when pussed VS, by default the vs is 0 (more logical)

I have all the panels, but, didn't notice that. You are referring to the Fuel Pump, aren't you. Most of the small glitches and gremlins can be fixed by our user teams once they get around to it.

Yes, the fuel switch on the logitech switch panel. I notice if I flip it on with the panel, I here the sound for it run in game for a second and then stop. Neither fuel switch on the Mooney in game cockpit panel moves. If I click it off on the logitech panel and back on, same thing (run sound for a second and then nothing).

Wow such rock-solid trim and vertical speed settings.
