Can you imagine a payware twin without. I did my commercial multi add on in PA44. I hope they implement truly asymmetric thrust with Vmc and everything! As far as I remember PA44 doesn't have fully feathered prop in conventional meaning of it. Instead of 90 degrees blade still live some angle so it can un-feather itself at 100 kts . October 11, 20205 yr I really hope they finish the Mooney first. As there are still not very many developers releasing at the moment, there is a potential danger of them rushing multiple, half-finished releases to capitalize on the MSFSMP. Hopefully, threads such as this one highlighting the work yet to be done on current releases, will serve to motivate @Carenado to finish what they started before moving on. They might actually serve to educate the consumer/purchaser, and so are most worthwhile. C Best- Carl Avari-Cooper

The PA44 announcement spelled the end of any future improvements of the Mooney. It's what Carenado is known for and I doubt that they are ever going to change. They are not interested in releasing a masterpiece. They are ok with being ok. MSFS

October 11, 20205 yr Our only course of action is to keep the Mooney thread alive. That way, either the MSFSMP Buyer will celebrate its maturity and growth into a "real" simulation, or the Buyer will have been provided notice that @Carenado has maintained their historic philosophy of eye candy without substantive systems; choosing quantity over quality, and hoping for impulse purchases. Either way, an INFORMED BUYER is the "net" result. C PS- I'm quite happy with my puns... see what I did there? Edited October 11, 20205 yr by cavaricooper Best- Carl Avari-Cooper

October 11, 20205 yr Is it too early to start thinking about a mod squad adapting the M20R to the Robert Young G36 flight dynamics? There are more similarities than differences in the two basic models, but having a normalized turbo on the Mooney will elevate it to a much higher level (pun intended). Of course, the Robert Young flight dynamics would be the primary goal. When Pigs Fly . Ray Marshall .
October 11, 20205 yr @raymar Ray- while I love the idea, I hate the thought of enabling @Carenado to keep employing it's half baked strategy. In the past people like @Bert Pieke have taken their eye-candy fluff, and transformed it into a very capable airframe- GRATIS. That has resulted in @Carenado profiting even more, while not having to step up and spend effort/time in development. If we ever expect change, WE MUST USE OUR WALLETS TO SEND A MESSAGE. Otherwise @Carenado will happily keep their sales M.O. of very pretty half completed GA models that captivate at first glance, and disappoint thereafter. Their Mooney was the very first aeroplane I purchased from them (excepting the "Alabeo (in-house)" Waco), and may well be my last if they do not utilize their timing advantage for mutual benefit. ATM I am not optimistic. C Best- Carl Avari-Cooper
October 11, 20205 yr I just purchased the Mooney M20R. Is the autopilot the same one used in the A2A Cessna 172? It looks the same. Edited October 11, 20205 yr by dobee51

That's not posible in MSFS, paywares have the .cfg files encripted in cfg.fsarchive, and they can't be overriden by files in the community folder, AFAIK 😞 On 10/11/2020 at 6:11 AM, cavaricooper said: I really hope they finish the Mooney first. I'll check now thanks for the tip I had the same problem trying to buy the aircraft today. Turns out I had to start FS *not* in administrator mode. The aircraft itself seems really nice. I just flew a short trip with it. It taxies nicely, it's fast and easy to fly. The spoilers are a must on certain approaches though, she's quite slippery. The only gripe I have is that it's a bit tricky to set the altitude on the autopilot, the 1000s roll nicely, but the 100s are super tricky, so i keep zooming in and out instead of setting the altitude.
