It's a bad sign if it's re-downloading from zero each file. If restart will not help, make sure you don't have bandwidth limitation in the data menu in the sim.
October 13, 20205 yr Well I just received a mail from zendesk, it says that my manual cache problem is likely fixed with this new update... weird, nothing on it on the changelog. I will be able to test it very soon, my internet is fast today 500KB per minutes on 4G Edited October 13, 20205 yr by bendead
October 13, 20205 yr Is everybody doing all of the windows Store updates when updating the SIM? Because the Sim itself usually comes simultaneously with three or four updates to the store, the most prominent being app updater software, which may or may not be germane to the situation. October 13, 20205 yr People that are having building height problems still... One thing to try is make sure to reset your rolling cache. I have been resetting every time I change my video settings and it has cut down my CTD's by 1000% (scientific calculation). But specifically, if you are still seeing big buildings still, it might be the old cached buildings from before the patch. I also keep my cache at 30 gigs. I was having issues with it at 100 and 50 gigs.
October 13, 20205 yr I have put all my mods back into the community folder - these include a few liveries, the A320 FlyByWire mod, Navigraph, NoToolbarHandle and Tooltips-SeeThrough. Everything seems to be working, and I have just taken off from Anchorage (PANC) enroute to Denver (KDEN) in the A320. So far so good! October 13, 20205 yr MS Store started by telling me to Update and promptly broke my install and Digital Ownership files (thought it had deleted the whole lot) very nervous half an hour then it restored the icon on the desktop and enjoyed a seamless Update. Looks good. Snappier between Menus. FPS about the same. Trees look, different and better. . . Hasn't broken anything so far. . . Haven't flown yet.
October 13, 20205 yr So here are my initial impressions... worth noting I installed the latest NVIDIA drivers before I started the first flight. Did my usual test flight KLAS-KLAX in the Neo, live weather (no clouds today) completely managed including ILS approach. - No notable performance changes (locked 30FPS). - Neo felt responsive during the SID, did not overshoot initial altitude (which it did a lot recently). - No LNAV issues during flight. But it was just one flight... - Wind/turbulence seemed a bit pronounced, but that might be subjective. - No changes to LOD or ground texture, I am part of the camp that's just fine with that (LOD 80). - Bug of speed being locked to MACH upon descent below trans alt seems to be fixed. - Neo did try to erratically climb during descent, but it might have been my error, was able to resolve it by having a beer and clicking all buttons in the cokpit. - SEVERE pauses (not load related, no CPU or GPU load increase) during approach, but I am not sure if it's something I did to the sim, such as shadows, traffic models ect. - No ILS issues, fine approach. - Neo did try to skyrocket after landing, I slammed it down. Brutal man... they cannot make a stable update!

October 13, 20205 yr I'm now getting a Japan update showcase after loading halfway into the menu, previously it was just a black screen following the Mount Fuji picture. Nice touch.

The Store thing was awful CWC. Very clanky but it worked so less mouse more leave alone. I launched MSFS, it opened the Store and asked me to Update the Store - I did, then it advised an update to MSFS - which I did, then it Error'd on both MSFS and Digital Ownership Updates saying it couldn't find my install of MSFS. Panic. After a system Restore I was able to go back to the Store - clicked on Library and found Store was half way through a 1 GB Update for MSFS. Let that run during which MSFS Icon came back alive (it had whited out) on Desktop. Clicked that. 3 Vids, then the Fuji Screen and then Checking For Updates Screen, then it collected the 2.09 GB Update. Running fine now. Conclusion; if you installed MSFS on a drive other than your Windows Drive - which I have, it slightly breaks. Be patient, run the 1.2 GB Update via the store then run MSFS to collect the proper 2.09 GB 1.9.5.0 Update. Your mileage may wildly vary. Edited October 13, 20205 yr by Will Fly For Cheese
October 13, 20205 yr For what it is worth I've gotten that digital ownership error in the MS store for a long time now, and it has never actually caused me any issues other than being annoying. ------------------------- Craig from KBUF
