They did not mentioned they are doing anything regarding this. Why did you expected this at all ?

Gosh, silly me, thinking they might have fixed something that they actually acknowledged in the Q&A that was broken, and without needing to tell us they were working on it.

Snark aside, I'm expecting better from Asobo, that's all.

Is it me, or does 'Welcome, Set Your Experience' up at the top of the screen read like some kind of Broken English translation along the lines of All Your Base Are Belong To Us?

I think the person that added that banner across the screen is simply using : English as their next language.

Yep, none of that....I have never touched the sim.

Any chance you have the Steam version and verifiedd the integrity of the files? That will cause a complete reinstall every time.

Confirmed. Had this once, too. Never will do it again.

Kind regards, Michael

I've not been one to rant at anything being broken in the sim and I'm not about to start now, but failing to remove "Press Any Key" is, well, a fail. I look forward to hearing why that didn't happen.

Did it fix for your guys the building height bug? It looks to me the same bug is still persisting

Remember after update to exit out of MSFS  and reboot computer to get a fresh start on the new patch. May want to also remove anything in community folder so you're not seeing a problem caused by a mod.

I confirm, it happened to me. Fortunately I avoided the full game redownload via my 5Mbps link by the backup restore. Now, I have backup copy secured, before attempting to install any new patch.

I feel you man. Just as i said couple hours earlier "Set you expectations accordingly"

I also expected they will fix the lightning everywhere but of course they didn't ! Do like me, dont expect.

Did someone say bears? Hibernating bears?!

And the only reason that was in my mind is that me and the bears have been fighting over my garbage in the wee hours of the morning, these last few weeks.... 🐻

When downloading 1.9.3.0 the sim was constantly restarting downloading the packages from zero. I fixed this by limiting transfer to 3Mbps with NetLimiter ($20), only to find later that the real cause was the bandwitch imitation option it the sim set to 5Mbps. So I disabled the limitation.

This time after downloading 64% (pc-fa-base-bigfiles-0.1.75.fspatch) it's no longer restarting the download. It just stopped downloading alogether.

I wonder whether I should consider this as the move in the right direction 😉

I restarted the sim - it's attempting to download the same file again (pc-fa-base-bigfiles-0.1.75.fspatch).

What is also quite strange:

- when the donwload is active the load on the CPU is 4%,

- when I press Pause to stop the dowload the CPU load goes to 20%.

I would expect the other way round. This crazy sim is using more CPU with dowload paused, versus active..

I am having the exact same problem. 2 hours and it is just re downloading the big files. I am going to restart it now.

Downloading now, going smoothly for me so far. There seems to be a 60 FPS cap in the installation manager now, but it is removed when minimising the window and GPU usage goes to 100% again. Still have to cap the FPS with MSI Afterburner.

Sad to see the Press Any Key to Start screen is still there, but at least it appears that the dolphin dance was fixed, and that was a much bigger issue slated for Updates 5 & 9 so it was good to push that forward. Curious that nobody seems to be aware that it's the sharpening filter causing the anti-aliasing issues, so I guess I'll file a Zendesk report about this.

Not a great patch, but if the black avionics, SmartCam issues, dolphin dance and CTDs are fixed then it means that the simulator can finally be stable again and that was the most important thing to get out of the way before touching on stuff that could have caused more stability issues.

Nah it's a bit like the trendy "objectives" and "learning experience" corporate speak buzz expressions that used to bug the hell out of me when going on training workshops for my employer. When usually you ended up doing all the work. So glad I'm now retired...
