All the transparency in the world isn't worth word not allowed if they literally lie to people the Thursday before the update comes out. Regardless of if it's the "press any key" program or the "make the G1000 actually usable" problem - how can we trust anything else they say, if between Thursday and Tuesday things disappear from the promised updates? OR - how about this - if it dropped of the list for some reason, explain why and apologize like adults? October 13, 20205 yr Just confirming here that the new patch does nothing to fix the LOD and terrain texture resolution issues that were broken in the last patch. I'm seeing the same trees popping in directly in front of the plane when flying at 1000-1500 ft., fewer autogen buildings at the same object LOD setting (100) I had before, and open ground texture in the middle distance is very blurry compared to the initial release of the sim. That is in my regular flying area around my home GA airport where there is no photogrammetry. Areas with heavy photogrammetry may mask the issues. It looks like I'll have to wait for another patch to see if VFR sightseeing is worthwhile again. I'm not stamping my foot and threatening to quit the sim, but it's very disappointing that Asobo can't manage to fix what they broke in the last patch. We've been talking about it for three weeks now how much their regression testing sucks along with quality of delivery. Edited October 13, 20205 yr by Drumcode Jacek G. And building heights are fixed. I just completed a post-patch 1.9.5, multiplayer (live weather) flight out of KDXR, and there was significant thunder and lightning (both) and completely overcast skies. But then again, that *roughly* (not entirely) corresponds to the RL weather atm. i7-12700K; GF RTX 3080Ti 12 GB; MSI Z690 MB; 32 GB DDR5 4800Mhz (16x2); 850W 80+ Gold PS; 1 TB M.2 NVMe SSD + 2 TB HDD @ 7200 + Kingston 4TB XS2000 USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 Ext. Did not remove anything from Community before the update. The update went smoothly. The sim started and there appeared to be a couple of issues with mods and liveries. I shut the sim down, rebooted my system, started the sim, and all appears to be fine with my avionics mods and liveries. The only performance mode I have in place is the one from Robert for the G36 and I have not flown since the update. October 13, 20205 yr When downloading 1.9.3.0 the sim was constantly restarting downloading the packages from zero. I fixed this by limiting transfer to 3Mbps with NetLimiter ($20), only to find later that the real cause was the bandwitch imitation option it the sim set to 5Mbps. So I disabled the limitation. This time after downloading 64% (pc-fa-base-bigfiles-0.1.75.fspatch) it's no longer restarting the download. It just stopped downloading alogether. I wonder whether I should consider this as the move in the right direction 😉 I restarted the sim - it's attempting to download the same file again (pc-fa-base-bigfiles-0.1.75.fspatch). What is also quite strange: - when the donwload is active the load on the CPU is 4%, - when I press Pause to stop the dowload the CPU load goes to 20%. I would expect the other way round. This crazy sim is using more CPU with dowload paused, versus active.. Edited October 13, 20205 yr by Steku
