My sim was fine up to the previous patch, but noticed low LOD levels like many of us did.  I haven't opened MSFS since, just waiting for the patch to fix the LOD - blurry textures just kill the experience.  With this patch I have my first real issue.  The initial patch loaded fine, but after a reboot I started MSFS to start the next stage of download. San Francisco airport starts to download, and load again, and again.......  never gets any further.

Took a few hours using Net Limiter, finally got there. Sim is running great now!

Edit: I lied. Cruising along was 40 FPS, not it is 10 FPS. Nice

My update went completely smooth and quick, including the initial Steam update, the In-Game update and finally the 2 Japan updates. High-rises (I had a few surrounding my home base) are gone.

I observed one issue, though. I took off from KSFO with 30 fps (locked via Nvidia CP). Next went to the UI using Esc, then into General and Graphics and changed a setting (e.g. Vector Data) back and forth, so no effective change. After Applying and returning to the flight I get 11 fps and heavy stuttering. I found this reproducible with several settings I switched.

Not sure if this was present in the previous versions but at least I don't recall.

Another time I got a CTD in CoherentUIGT.dll when returning to the Main Menu.

Both reported to Zendesk.

Kind regards, Michael

This is really a long thread and I don't know if it was mentioned before here and if it was existing in the previous versions, but in the Content Manager all my packages seem to be up to date and there's a "D" that stands for "Dependencies" in the lower menu that applies for some of the items/packages included in the Content. What is this and to what purpose it's mentioned, except for creating confusion (at least for me)?.

Certain updates and items only work with a newer patch version. If you had checked a few days ago, there would have been a few items with "update available" against them, but the dependency would be the new 1.9.5.0 version of the sim - you wouldn't have been able to update just yet, but they became ready to install / installed automatically as soon as the new patch version dropped. Hope this helps.

For sure it helps. I had checked before the new patch and you're right, some items showed "update available", that disappeared after the new patch came in. Thanks.

Another one I saw is related to certain hand-crafted airports, from memory I recall LFPG (Charles de Gaulle - Paris), on which the "dependency" states that it worked with the new patch version and with a file titled "asobo-modellib-texture - Required version 0.1.18". The A320neo content shows a similar mention and references to a different file name (related to aircraft). That was confusing to me, because when I first saw it, I thought that I was missing that modellib file from the Mandatory Content. So, it's just a mention/reminder, and I can be sure that I'm not missing that file?.

Thanks again, Ed

Also, before blaming all evil in the world on Asobo 😈

There are new things windows itself is up to via the latest updates that may make our systems seem a little funky.

Take a look at your task manager, and you will find that windows is now suspending various processes according to its own priorities, ostensibly to enhance windows performance, which could well be famous last words.... 😃

After a reboot? I don't know what you did but after the store update, the game will update after. Some of you guys are causing your own problems

Correct.

Resuming from Active Pause still causes AP to send me into a nosedive. ☹️

Don’t use Active Pause.  There is another normal pause that you can map to that won’t affect the AP.  Find it in Setting -> Controls -> Keyboard. Make sure the filter is set to show “Unassigned.” You can map a key for that normal pause and another key to unpause it.

i certainly don't. It doesn't fix any of the important things to me and makes me want to go back to P3D for a while.

Too early to tell..

- Tall buildings fixed, check!

- Autopilot more stable, check!

- What else??

I am actually more impressed with what "the Community" has produced in the same time period.. 🙂

Something was broken with save file, now I every time when I load it CTD (save was created in 1.9.5.0). 🙄

If you have the same you can vote it here: https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/save-file-1-9-5-0-when-you-load-ctd/301270 .
