Even landing the F-16 is like nothing else, Brakes so bad you have to land and airbrake with the aircraft and the wheels are so close together it a "joy" to land, but once mastered its wonderful just to land well. A perfect landing, yes this is how you land and stay like that until the nose fails to the ground. and Cyberpunk 2077 ( 97 hours) All max setting, its a dream to look at and play. My char Oh... I understand. MSFS

If you are happy with the settings you have..Good for you, enjoy it. why bother raining on others parade? sheesh! Nobody is raining on anyone's parade. Merely pointing out that some of the issues people are having can be resolved by turning the settings down. The guy Ian is having stutters at 200 lod but once he backed off he has no more stutters.

I can't tell any other reason why you could see trees much far in the distance already without this latest mod. I do have a tree height mod installed. In general, the trees look good, except for the fact that some areas have far too many -- for example, in arctic regions that are devoid of trees in the real world (an old problem that goes back to FSX).
December 30, 20205 yr I hope nobody minds me staying on topic? Another comparison. 37 minutes ago, Teemu Pienimaki said: - Flightsimulator.blog mod includes increased draw distance for ALL trees, bushes and palms PLUS fixes some too tall trees and jungle palms a bit shorter. I moved to the neighborhood of Lukla for some different trees. Unfortunately it wasn't possible to get screenshots from the EXACT same location but the differences can be seen anyway. Seems to me the ONLY difference between the two mods is the tree height... I'm not sure where to spot differences between bushes, palms, etc. It seems the blog mod is the same as the OP mod but with slightly lower trees... Again imho both mods are a LOT better than default. With the defaults the mountain ahead is almost barren while the mods show it is (and should be) covered with trees. The blog mod shows a bit more of the ground textures due to the lower height and that's about it. I am still not sure which one I like more but both are better than default. Imho if you want to get a better representation of how things really look any of these mods is a must. Default: OP's mod: Blog mod: Edited December 30, 20205 yr by tup61

Not true. Trees height is not changed, that "75" means height for that invisible tree that makes all this magic about increased draw distance to happen. 🙂

Again... the blog mod only seems to have lower (than default) trees and that's it. In these screenshots bushes seem unaffected. So to me the only difference between the mod really seems to be a lower than default tree hight with the blog mod and default tree height with the OP's mod. Just comparing both mods here, don't have time for yet another default screenshot. Click on the picture and swith between them with the arrow keys: you will clearly see the trees go up and down. December 30, 20205 yr This is a mod worth getting in my book and im very much mod averse. Will be dropping that blog mod in the sim as soon as i get home. Looks like a very good restoration of some of the visual fidelity that i remember seeing before Asobo started patching stuff. December 30, 20205 yr I also think I will go for the blog version right now. I kinda like how the ground textures sort of shines through or al least give a bit more life and contrast to the scenery and I don't mind trees being a bit lower during some approaches LOL. On some of my screenshots the blog mod trees seem to extend even a little bit further into the distance and, finally, trees on distant mountain ridges seem to stick out a bit less thanks to the lower height. It's nice to have options though. ;) I can't imagine flying without trees as far as I can see, that's for sure.

This actually is the only mod I use even though I am no fan of mods and like to stay default as much as possible. This one simply is too good and too important for my kind of use of MSFS.
December 30, 20205 yr I just tried the OP mod and it looked good. Performance for my medium system, 6700/1070Ti/32 gb is virtually unchanged with this mod, medium trees/100 LOD. Will try the blog mod later. Definitely makes the world look better. I’ll certainly be keeping one of these.
