Ironically, I thought buying from MS Store must be the best thing to do for a MS title. Yeah right... On "Good for you I'd say." My original intention was exactly the same as yours and I bought the Preinstall version and installed it outside of C which may have been my fault. I'll spare you the detail of my odyssey through the MS Store installation and access permissions jungle, I finally got a refund and bought the Steam version. No issues with installation or updates ever since, including the present one. But I read you solved your case, so let's go on. I don't see them in the before/after video in this thread so obviously not everyone is getting them. Do I have to do something with this install to remove these anomalies? Help if you know the answer. Stan I FIXED it. It seems I had a glitchfix in my Community folder from a month ago that was a semi-fix for the large spikes in the sim. It did help and reduced the spikes to smaller ones. However, after the update today that glitchfix only caused problems in that the small spikes were still there. Once I removed that glitchfix from the folder, the spikes and mini-mountains were all gone. All is well now. However, I still think the Dublin Power Company's 2 tall chimney stacks by the airport are still missing. I used to like to see those coming in for a landing. Stan

If I keep having issues down the road, maybe I'll buy the Steam version myself even when that would mean paying for the same thing twice.

First time I've seen it properly done in a sim. Magic! That pier sticks way out there. Must be about mile long. Incredible. February 17, 20215 yr Been downloading forever, up almost 1.4 GB...of 23. I think it will be a while.
February 17, 20215 yr Some new Commercial/Restaurant Autogen buildings I noticed. Only in the UK, I don't know if the render elsewhere. The US world update also added a couple shopping mall types (and gas stations) that I never saw outside of the US (though to be fair I wasn't actually looking) Edit: Actually, I see one of the Malls added in the US update behind the building in the first image Edited February 17, 20215 yr by Tuskin38
February 17, 20215 yr Any one else getting the "rotate at far too low a speed" issue reported over on the MS forums ? I am wondering if it is related to takeoff flaps.
February 17, 20215 yr Scottish flag above Edinburgh castle. It waves, but as far as I can tell it's an animation, it doesn't change based on the wind.

And when the tide goes out you can walk almost to the end of it on the mud! It's over fifty years now since I used to hang about on that pier. It's burnt down a couple of times since then, had ships crash in to it and who knows what else. It had a bowling alley on it (at the shore end) when I was a yoof - I wasted a lot of time in there. Old Trafford is on the list but I did fly over that way to double check and you are right the stadium is not there. Just the top-down satalite view of it, I do wonder if they have missed it by accident or "Old Trafford" is something else to them 😛 Vote to fix transparent sun visors having no effect on the sun glare effect in MSFS at: https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/sun-shades-sun-visors-not-influencing-light-in-cockpit/691565/

Is Old Trafford seriously missing while The Etihad is there? That's a really rather astonishing omission, regardless of footballing affections.
