Aerosoft CRJ released

Yup, with discounts, points etc, I paid 21 quid for the JF Arrow, but this thing is over twice that price.

Love it! Cold and dark baby! Time to learn things now! See you later guys! LOL

Oh wow I'm super jealous, if you tell me the secret for how you got your system to run the sim perfectly after the update I'll give you some pointers on the CRJ since I've been a CRJ pilot for 20 years

I'm just watching Filbert's live stream.

No Chart integration in the EFB?

I remember reading somewhere that they said they couldn't figure out how to do that with MSFS. Maybe ask the guys at Working Title. 😉

Another reason for me to wait.

It’s not a question of “figuring it out”. The CRJ is programmed in WASM which is fully sandboxed and does not permit external network connections. The CJ-4 (core) is programmed in JS/HTML which does. (Some parts of the WT CJ-4 are in WASM, but not all of it).

The Piper Arrow from JF is $45 and the CRJ is 51$

So not actually cheaper than the Arrow ?

For me the Arrow was £29.99 while the CRJ is ~£43

Because it's 50.41 Euros in the UK with 20% VAT added.

At their shop I get 45,24 € including  7.7% VAT. 7.7% is the VAT in Switzerland. I am not in Switzerland, I would have 19%.....

Ah, page updates now and it is 49.99 €.

Couldn’t help and bought it via MSStore. Downloaded quickly the almost 900MB, now I started a flight and thought MSFS stalled on the load screen but then remembered the pre-announcement that the first start may take up to 10 mins. Luckily MS thought about that and also added this in the bottom line of the seemingly stalled loading screen... curious to see it parked at LOWI. Unfortunately it may well take those 10 mins if not more on my meager system....

As mentioned before I do have occasional stutters once in while after update.  But not constantly enough to make absolutely bad experience. I'm running sim i10900, 32g, and RTX 3090.  I haven't fired out CRJ yet still reading manuals, but yes I'm ready receive any pointer for CRJ drivers. I'm pretty sure one of my students somewhere fly CRJ somewhere but I rarely keep in touch with any of them 🙂

I've always bought directly from AS, is there any disadvantage from buying from the MSFS marketplace such as slower product updates? Do MS take a cut (less for developer)?

Thx.

Absolutely. The only thing that whines louder than a jet engine, is a flight simmer.

Especially the engines on a BAC-111.

How do you know if it's crashed? Lots of buzzing when trying to load it.

They might not help you if you did haha. My Call of Duty squad consists of a Navy F-18 pilot, a Delta 737 FO, and an Endeavor Air CRJ Captain. The CRJ Captain told me to shove bricks when I asked him if he'd like to join me in a CRJ Group Flight. 😄

Take-offs are optional, landings are mandatory.
The only time you have too much fuel is when you're on fire.
To make a small fortune in aviation you must start with a large fortune.

There's nothing less important than the runway behind you and the altitude above you.
It's better to be on the ground wishing you were in the air, than in the air wishing you were on the ground.

FPS hit is savage for me unless the bug has kicked in straight away.
