Same here. But I'd rather buy directly than from the marketplace.

Oh wow this is so exciting. It almost makes me want to reinstall P3D v5 and the CRJ that I already paid for since that's actually a functional platform.

Everything in the aerosoft shop is slow, and now I just keep getting timeouts from the download server after I finally got to purchase it 😞

The year is 2021, we have the technology to not have this happen. Why is this still happening? I swear flight simulation is 10+ years behind "the industry" in so many regards.

Ready to fly, sitting on the apron.

Bought through marketplace, 2 minute DL. 10 minute for first start.

Lunch then a flight I think...

They might not help you if you did haha. My Call of Duty squad consists of a Navy F-18 pilot, a Delta 737 FO, and an Endeavor Air CRJ Captain. The CRJ Captain told me to shove bricks when I asked him if he'd like to join me in a CRJ Group Flight. 😄

Good friend of mine is AA 737 captain (he flew MD80 before they retired it). He owns Cub Legend and before pandemic we used to do sim flight at my house. He was super excited to try IXEG and PMDG. So I guess it's depend on a person 🙂

Especially the engines on a BAC-111.

This is true, they are very loud, like the 727, and basically any Russian aeroplane, where they don't give a stuff about how loud the things are. Actually whenever I was pushing CRJs out, they're not that loud because you're quite a way from the engines compared to stuff like 737s and Airbuses. It was only when the APU was running and you were doing a walkaround that CRJs were a bit loud.

As mentioned before I do have occasional stutters once in while after update.  But not constantly enough to make absolutely bad experience. I'm running sim i10900, 32g, and RTX 3090.  I haven't fired out CRJ yet still reading manuals, but yes I'm ready receive any pointer for CRJ drivers. I'm pretty sure one of my students somewhere fly CRJ somewhere but I rarely keep in touch with any of them 🙂

Push buttons until all the overhead lights go out and nothing but two green reverser a red indications and no smoking and seat belt sign status messages are on ED2.

Seriously though, that’s the quickest way to get it in the air. I wouldn’t recommend that in real life though.

it’s an easy airplane to learn. You’ll get the hang of it relatively quickly. The FMS is very similar to that of the CJ4.

my resume...4000 hours of flight time in the thing.

FAA: ATP-ME, 737 CA, enough time in the 757/767 to be dangerous 🤠

I bought from Aerosoft and was able to download the manuals, but I keep getting timeouts on the plane. Hopefully, I'll be able to download it sometime, you know, this month.... 😂

So far the performance is good, I didn't expect it to be that good in terms of performance! I get more or less the same what I'd get in FBW

My biggest question is how to import MSFS flight plan. If it's possible of course

I've always bought directly from AS, is there any disadvantage from buying from the MSFS marketplace such as slower product updates? Do MS take a cut (less for developer)?

Thx.

I'm wondering the same thing but for an additional reason.

If one purchases from the marketplace, will it be possible to install mods for the aircraft? How would things like addon sound packages be installed? What if we needed to change something like the parking codes? Is everything locked down and if so, is there a difference in the way the AS versions are encrypted?

Will be interesting to see in the coming days how hard this is on the system, more so for those of us that do not have Super Computers

Especially with the last update.
