Yes, there will be a CAS caution message for yaw damper, stab trim and Mach trim if these systems are not engaged. Someone trying to learn the plane for the very first time might easily overlook them or not understand the significance.

I mean, I guess if they have never been exposed to EICAS.

FAA: ATP-ME, 737 CA, enough time in the 757/767 to be dangerous 🤠

Really, Hans is a great developer, Mathijs commented they've worked at least 9 months on the project, and if not during the entire project but at least a certain period, they've even got daily assistance of Asobo developers during this time. This can't be wrong.

My problem with Hans his attitude, blame it on something else or not even having a proper communication with the users. He has been doing this since FSX/P3D days. Okay we know the SU3 made things worse in terms of the performance, but issues like altitude holding, overshooting turns or crappy ILS.. if you ask those who own the P3D version, they will tell you all these are the same issues in P3D version as well.

I'm curious.
I haven't purchased MSFS CRJ.

But as an owner of both the 1st and 2nd incarnation of Areosoft CRJ P3D (also a former betatester), did they ever fix the N1 issue where N1 would initially drop a couple % followed by an increase, when advancing the thrust levers?

I cant recall if that just was a cosmetic display bug or actually impacted flight performance.

It was just one of those annoying querks that always seemed to stick around, patch after patch. NAV tracking issue seems to still be there, from what I can read on various foraes.

Issue is still there, again confirming just a port over of the old code into the new sim despite claims of 'all new code'.

well, after various handflown approaches I decided to jump into my first ILS approach with the CRJ on a flight from LOWI (what a soup 1hr ago when I started) to LOWW ILS11. Started with "ready for taxi" panel state, programmed (very basic) the FMC with just DEP airport, ARR airport and RTT as 1 and only waypoint, then added while still at ramp ARR rwy 11 with ILS approach. All fine. Climbed straight out rwy08 at LOWI to just FL200, all fine. Followed flightplan great, only minor throttle adjustments required and then it held speed very well. Descent was flawless, finally a working magenta cue on the MCDU showing me when to reach my desired alt of 5000 feet. Dialed 110.3 for ILS on NAV1 and when the needle came up I hit APR and down it went smoothly, captured GS just fine. Disabled AP at MIN and landed manually. In other words: great experience, no issues, excellent performance both at ORBXs LOWI and Gayas LOWW. Hopefully not a one-timer, will try another ILS approach later when I find time (again, CRJ calls for much more babysitting than my FBW neo)

Well copy here, paste there, cut here and paste there and then claim to be a "new code" lol

Hi Phil

Also tried my second flight today with the CRJ700.

From LSZH Zurich RW 34 all by hand climb to 10000f turn towards LSGG Geneva, overfly Geneva and back towards Zurich, appr RW14 reducing speed to 200knots and 4000f ILS frq set to NAV1 and smoothly captured the LOC and GS following the ILS until 300f over ground, then manual landing with reversers and a good landing; everything smooth.

I think the plane is quite fine for Version 1.0.

This weekend more flights with programming the FMS.

Anyone got issues with overhead panel buttons that doesnt respond? I click them but nothing happens. (Hydraulics, windshield, signs, light etc).

Sometimes I can click them into one position, like lights on, but cant move them back. Strange...

I just got a new bug. I am not sure if this is me or the aircraft but I got a cabin alt warning while I was at cruise altitude for at least 40 min.  I thought the CRJ has an auto-mode that supposed to handle cabin pressure automatically. I've read in the manual that you can try to release the pressure manually. That doesn't work either. I see get the warning.

Just did my first flight in the CRJ! It went mostly well, except the plane tried to kill all my passengers when it gradually increased the altitude for the entire flight and kept it at 36000 ft until I landed! None of the cabin pressurization buttons seemed to work. Also the autopilot tried to kill me, 1 mile out from runway on ILS GS it just dived 30 degrees down into the ground, had to cut autopilot quick and land by hand. Managed to do a perfect landing on the first try thankfully!

Autopilot not keeping correct speed in CLB mode (seems mostly in Mach numbers)
LNAV undershooting and/or overshooting turns (was seen a lot in previous AS CRJ releases)
APPR mode tried to fly me into the ground. Says that GS is captured but just progressively goes further below it. Also a problem that I encountered a lot in the P3D version.
Advisory VNAV window on MFD is garbage. Says 1 minute to go to TOD at 25nm out. That's quite a ground speed then. Same issue seen in P3D version.
Advisory VNAV window on MFD got stuck saying 0 minutes to TOD with a distance of 22nm to go to TOD. This was some 15nm after the 1 minute/25nm to go. Same issue seen in P3D version.
Advisory VNAV window on MFD doesn't show rate of descent required to next altitude restriction. Seems also carried over from P3D version.
Still can't delete altitude restrictions in the FMS. Seems also carried over from P3D version.

Sheesh. These are more complicated than my current problem: FMS gets frozen when I get to DEP it seems. Doesn't happen on NEO or CJ4 however. If I could just get past this tiny issue then I could probably complain about ILS issues. 😉
