You can probably ask your dev team for clarification in case it hasn’t been picked up or implemented yet, or I’m wrong,  but I believe “THR IDLE” is also supposed to appear in the Top left of the FMA. Nonetheless really impressive work, keep it up!

Running on very little sleep as a result of our marketing launch, however - from my own knowledge (everyone else is asleep!) - it does. And our aircraft does this too. This, however, does not happen if the thrust levers are closed before THR IDLE is initiated, which is exactly what I did (incorrectly) in that video.

"Fe" and "Phoe" are pronounced exactly the same in American "fee", so "Fenix" and "Phoenix" are also pronounced the same fee-nix.

Slap a price tag on it. I'll buy that airplane right now. In the condition shown in that video. I've been waiting forever to purchase a high fidelity Airbus. I will never install anything from FSL on my computer and Aerosoft's wasn't what I was after, so I really never had a viable option before.

Appreciate the kind words, it really helps reinforce to us we are on the right track.

On that note, of course, we'd love for it to go out as soon as possible, however, the team and I are very careful about releasing this in the "right" state. As a startup, we only really do get one chance at a good first impression!

@Aamir Feels like I'm talking to a celebrity lol. You and the team are cooking up something potentially ground breaking and I wish you guys all the best. I'm not even into airliners much but I think your product will be a day one buy for me. Thanks to you guys, MSFS is about to go from being the perceived worst platform for airliners to being the one with the most advanced one ever made lol. Can we expect the second video tomorrow?

This is early Alpha. At the time of its release (which could be a long way away) it will be interesting to see how much further the FBW has advanced. My guess is that there will be little to choose between them and if so price will be critical. I personally will not be prepared to spend very much on a plane (well, apart from minor differences) I can otherwise have for free.

(I noted in the vid that the baro was set to standard which presumably means that it was a on standard weather preset (?)  yet the plane was wobbling all over the place.)

Based on the info to date, I would say that there are significant differences between the FBW and this Fenix A320 - not least that the FBW is based on an A320 NEO and the Fenix on an A320 ceo.
With features such as lateral offsets, ETPs, RTAs, step climbs and degraded navigational accuracy, the Fenix A320 is supposedly simulating elements that we have rarely/never seen before.

The question is not "which one is better?", but rather "which one appeals to my type of flight simming and budget?"

Standard baro pressure means nothing if there are windy conditions. In the video, the wind speed and direction were almost constantly changing. This means the aeroplane was flying in gusty conditions and would explain the "wobbling all over the place" that you mentioned.

 

Very much looking forward to more info and reviews. If it delivers on what has been promised, then this is a 'next-level' aircraft.

And They are using Their own guidance system not dependent on Asobo's - as far as I know know one else is doing this which is really smart imo

Why I have decided to buy the Fenix A320:

1. Developers communicate with the community.

2. Developers will support the product after release (I believe).

3. Price range sounds fair.

4. Cockpit model is super accurate (3d scanned).

5. Advanced systems / sound.

If you listen to the Chewwy stream, he says something like reasonable price. I can't remember exact words. I assume under $100. If so, that would be fine.
