****Happy Birthday MSFS2020 ****

Recommended Posts

"18 August 2020"  was really exciting day for me and probably for most simmers, as the new Flight Simulator 2020 released.

We are all happy to have this new and great experience, with all of its goods, bads, improvements, updates, etc...

Already took us to the adventure of flight and hoping that this experience will get into a higher level of excitement.

Thanks to all the team members; MS/Asobo, 3rd party developers, free content and mod creators and all the simmers that raise up this huge family.

***Happy Birthday***Happy Flying***

What do you all think ?

wow I really didnt realize its only been a year for some reason. This sim went from unplayable to literally the only thing I play. In this short time The FBW A32NX advancements have made me completely move on from P3D and the FSLABS Bus even though there are some things I do miss from time to time such as flying a A319 instead. I miss AI Traffic but MSFS made me move into Vatsim and I may never go back now. I honestly think the only thing I need at this point is GSX. We really have came so far in such a short time. Its not perfect. Neither was P3D but I am very satisfied with MSFS!

I would say Im somewhat looking forward to the end of those 9 years. The patches and world updates really aren't my cup of tea. Ill come back to play 2-3 weeks from being away at work and nothing works 🙄

Yes, it certainly wobbles sometimes, and on occasion falls on its word not allowed, but it keeps going forward.

Love it, personally. It’s already offering many of the things simmers have been dreaming of for years, and once most of the wrinkles are sorted out it’ll be gold. I’m near 500hrs now. I wonder how many it’ll be in 5years.

I am not quite a year in myself as I first watched for about 10 days last year.  I usually find it fun to sit on the sidelines and watch what happens with first adopters.  That for many elements of this simulation activity,

I have been a naysayer for much of the last year for various reasons.  But since I did a virgin fresh install last week into a folder just off the root of my SSD, I have been very much pleased! Not totally, but very much.  I have flown now about 10 hours since the install without a CTD, without a MSFS freeze, and without an avionics MFD freeze.  All of my hours so far since fresh new start have been in the G58 or the DA62 with the NXi.  My flying is predominantly GA twins.   And the performance now from my system after SU5 and the hotfixes has been astounding.  My 1070 TI is not at all ready for eBay yet! LOL!

Why should a s******* match start? (sorry I don't like that word, not elegant at all).

It's a breakthrough program, probably up to the rank of a concept videogame, and it surely contains many of the elements we old flightsimmers have been dreaming of for - how long - maybe forty years.

Why should I forget that on July 21, thanks to MSFS, I had one of the most exhilarating experiences since the old times of Flight Unlimited II? With the not secondary bonus that this time I was flying with 30 other people from around the world, from Florence to Rome, where I showed them the places where I live and where I work, and we shared some ancient history together.

So, well done on Asobo. Absolutely.

@Microsoft: don't mess with this product that has absolute potential: let the devs work at the right pace, do not push crippling updates, do not limit the product to fit it into an XBox: let them branch two versions instead, because in one year or two even the average El Cheapo PC will be more powerful than an XBox.

That's all.

A.
