Just me - or no photogrammetry data?

Featured Replies

Since about the last 12 hours I cannot seem to get MSFS to load photogrammetry / bing data - anyone else?

I've cycled the data on and off, restarted sim, PC, tried with no community folder, etc. No luck.

I have trouble with fuzzy ground textures as well today.

Might be linked as it is server side.

Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind).

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

Intel 14900K in a Z790 motherboard with water cooling, RTX 4080, 32 GB 6000 CL30 DDR5 RAM, W11 and MSFS on Samsung 980 Pro NVME SSD's.  Core Isolation Off, Game Mode Off.

Loading is terribly slow here, same flight as always: LIRU with Cessna 172 steam gauges, real weather real traffic real time.

Update: after 30 minutes I had to close the sim. It kept loading and loading.

Same here, I also notice the loading circle pops up a lot and stays on for a long time...seems like a Server issue.

Same here for the last 24 hours, I've submitted it to Zendesk. so have many others. and it's being talks about on the MSFS forum as well. something definently broke.  I pinged the bing server and there was no packet loss there so it something on the sim side I figure.

Same problem here, just offline ground textures (no Bing satellite imagery) on the world map and when flying. Been like this for past 6 hours.

But it’s still letting people log in, or is the sim just starting without the nag?

Noticed this issue as well

I had issues where everything was unusually blurry and not loading in properly yesterday as well.

I just installed a 3080 Ti and again am reminded of how this iteration of MSFS is tuned for Xbox, period, end of story.   Roughly 5.5Gb of 12Gb of VRAM in use, RAM at about 10Gb, so a total of about 15Gb which is 1Gb less than total RAM in Xbox SX.   Visuals are just way too uniformly soft/blurry.    I am struck by how little changed installing 3080 Ti over 2070 Super--it's almost the identical experience save I could get thru complex weather in better shape for sure.  Changing Render Scaling doesn't affect visuals in a way to overcome this soft/blur I'm seeing today.

ASOBO:  please do hurry up and re-enable use of all of these hardware resources, especially VRAM.  We all know it can be done as we saw it pre SU5.

Anyone know what the current count is for Xbox versus PC users of MSFS now?

3080 here. Absolutely crisp textures on my side. On the other hand i think the OP has nothing to do with VRAM or RAM as it seems to be server related.

Same here.  Maybe the Bing servers were under a DDOS type attack.

I just got disconnected several times during a flight...something is definitely wrong with the servers
