August 29, 20214 yr I have not fired up MSFS today, but last night (Saturday 28 Aug), when I loaded the sim, there was no aerial imagery on the world map, and when I spawned at an airport, (KABQ), there were only default low-res ground textures. Clicking on my gamer tag showed that I was “not online”, and the server selection menu option was greyed out. I confirmed that all online options were selected “on” in the DATA menu. Live Weather was working, but that is not surprising, because the Live Weather data comes from a completely different server than the streaming scenery. August 29, 20214 yr Got a message of Connection Lost half an hour ago and left the sim. No internet issues here. MS servers for sure are having a hard time to keep up with the high volume of users, now increased by the Xbox console players. August 29, 20214 yr I'm glad I'm not the only one missing the photogrammetry. I though I was going nuts at first but seems it's a bigger problem.
August 29, 20214 yr I think I had problems on Thursday, very ugly Southern France and notifications of lost internet connection. Today I returned home from weekend trip I flew ENAT-ENBO and views under the cloud deck were amazing. Petteri Pulkkinen EFNU, Finland
August 29, 20214 yr Me too, no photogrammetry when departure from Nantes, France. All the landscape and the cities are terrible. My server is the one from West Europe. If I change of server (North Europe), same behaviour, no photogrammetry. Edited August 29, 20214 yr by patrice_bambou Patrice Dubois
August 29, 20214 yr Author Ok so - mine is still not working. Let's try troubleshooting - although may not make any difference as it could be a server issue, but I find it strange that its working for some and not others! I have STEAM version = Not working as of 29 AUG 15:30 GMT With or without community folder = Not working Tried to reboot, turn on/off photogrammetry settings = not working Tried to turn off/on bing data = not working Physical location: Near Orlando, FL USA MS Servers in game: East USA (but tried them ALL) = not working Edited August 29, 20214 yr by KERNEL32
August 29, 20214 yr Issue here as well in the US. Has to be server side even though everything is showing “green”. Some folks have gone down a firewall rabbit hole, just glad it’s not just me. Every month this sim loves to just “break” for no apparent reason at all. Without PG, the sim looks pretty awful.
August 29, 20214 yr I'm on east coast Canada and I have no imagery at all (weather, MP and Live traffic are all working fine). I have a friend in the UK on right now and his imagery is working fine. Edited August 29, 20214 yr by Tuskin38
August 29, 20214 yr Hopped on just to test it on my end. Apparently still working fine, here. We are all connected..... To each other, biologically...... To the Earth, chemically...... I never use photogrammetry and the sims looks beautiful, IF there is satellite data. Photogrammetry is just for a few cities. August 29, 20214 yr On MS Store here and lost online Bing data / photogrammetry temporarily as well. Noticed I had an Xbox app update just before - "Xbox Live in-game experience". Not sure if it was related or contributory, so logged out of the Xbox app and store, rebooted, then logged back into the store and app - data / PG seems to be working again (my test is the Tokyo discovery flight as it's a fixed scenario, and the difference is glaring).
August 29, 20214 yr Just tried this and I am in US using Steam version....everything seems normal regarding the Imagery and PG but for some reason all of my 'Assistance' options were changed to 'Easy'. I always keep everything in that menu off but all of it was turned on. Other than that...seemed OK. MIght be getting more trees popping in again even with my .cfg set to 2.75. This tree LOD issue seems to never go away for me it seems.... Eric i9-12900k, RTX 5070ti OC, 32GB ddr5 5600 RAM, 2TB 980 Pro SSD, Titan 240RX AIO, Samsung CRG90 49", Win 11
