Tree draw distance seems not to be fixed. What a joke...

always double check where it's installing to. If it didn't wipe your old files you can redirect it back.

I don't recall the update telling me where it was installing or give me the option to change it.

All installed and working OK though.

Microsoft store version owners should consider Steam - every time we see this nonsense - Steam works great every time - took me 20 seconds to update - life is to short

I own both versions and DUMPED the MS store version. Steam seems so much more simple, file structure updates etc.

I know Tree LOD fix isn't in the hotfix notes, does that mean it's still broken?

Confirmed, it's not fixed.

Also the continuous lightning bolts are still there in all their glory.

Smooth and fast for me too, but who bought MSFS on the store cannot switch to Steam unfortunately.

If I think that initially I was torn because I was afraid that Steam could cause update issues with a Microsoft game, and chose Steam just because of the timer and achievements...

I have learned that when there is an update, one should go to the Store first and find the update from there. Not to start the sim first. That is, if we know that it is an update time of course...

With every update, reading the forums, I thank the sim gods I decided to buy on Steam. To think I was going to go the MS Store route until my sons said they wanted to go Steam rather. Forked out for 3 copies for 3 PC’s and updates are a breeze since day 1.

Steam FTW.

It's supposed to show "safe mode" option if you CTD.  The whole point is, if you CTD and you can't figure out why you are CTDing, to boot MSFS in safe mode.

I had the same problem, now trying the same flight in safe mode and so far so good! I think the problem was safe mode kept appearing constantly for some people!

MS Store version here, went straight to the store as usual. download update, launch game and instant further update, go to content manager install small update as notified. I just don't get why so many cannot do this. Apart from the last fiasco, where i already had the Xbox app. but it still failed at first, no other update has caused any issues.

Just flew FBW A320NX LOWW-EGLL no problems to report.

Well, like many I installed the XBOX app for the last update when it wouldn't install   last update installed fine.

This time round the XBOX AND Microsoft store app will not connect to the Internet. MSFS will not connect to the Internet.  Every other app, steam or Internet connects fine. My download speed averages 170mbs.

I have spent 5 hours today looking for answers. Uninstalled both XBOX app and MS store then re-install.  Checked services are running, followed Microsoft guides. I am shocked how MSFS goes so wrong.

I finally managed to log into the Store app but no update shown, even with the XBOX app open.

If I buy the steam version,  are the store and xbox apps out of the picture for good?

I had a smooth update.  Did about 6 small flights, no problems whatsoever.  And no CTDs.

It seems like the bug of there being no trees at all in South West Germany (around Mannheim, Trier, Kaiserslautern) is still there..

Asobo and trees hey, a match made in heaven.
