In fact, for the St Louis area three days ago and the Dallas area two days ago it was horribly present and with real conditions it would be very difficult to attribute it to any data whatsoever. Using the link below it is easy with the linked site's search box to check metars very quickly. I checked multiple metars for airports around Dallas, working my way out and around to over 200 miles in each direction. In this image the runway is just coming into sight and the MFD is indicating 1.5 miles to the TDZ. Metar for KDAL at the time was 19014G22 10SM clear few250 (25,000) 20/11 (64% humidity) A3027 https://www.checkwx.com/weather/KDAL/metar Frank Patton Corsair 5000D Airflow Case; MSI B650 Tomahawk MOB; Ryzen 7 7800 X3D CPU; ASUS RTX 4080 Super; NZXT 360mm liquid cooler; Corsair Vengeance 64GB DDR5 4800 MHz RAM; RMX850X Gold PSU;; ASUS VG289 4K 27" Display; Honeycomb Alpha & Bravo, Crosswind 3's w/dampener. November 22, 20214 yr The Haze Effect is often too strong. Looks like a fire has engulfed the town. Can't make out the runway. See pic above! Edited November 22, 20214 yr by Greazer Above pic http://youtube.com/c/Greazer

It looks like an extension of the horizon of the clear sky which is also too bright in my opinion. With the sun as a light source, it is naturally going to brighten part of the sky - but not the whole sky - or horizon... and not the entire haze all the way around. Its like shining a spotlight into fog.(but thats not fog. Fog in Dallas looks really cool because the tops of the building stick up out of it) Edited November 22, 20214 yr by sightseer | Dave | I've been around for most of my life. November 22, 20214 yr I find it disheartening that some people in this thread actually think the new haze/fog effects are done well. I have started doing all my flights after dark since SU7 because of the horrible implementation of overdone haze/fog resulting in less than a mile visibility during low level daytime flight (I fly exclusively in the US). I really hope Asobo fixes this ridiculous fog/haze in a hotfix, but if some people think it is perfect now, Asobo may not view it as a "bug" at all...
November 22, 20214 yr This video from Premier 1 Driver shows a range of weather including what a region of low visibility looks like when you fly above it. The flight starts in great weather at KEGE Eagle CO and ends in rainy-ish weather at Dallas Love. Its only a half hour and has a pretty little tune in the middle. Grab some coffee and enjoy. November 22, 20214 yr Hello turbomax....LOL Just my way of being a little bit whimsical. Regards...Kenny.
November 23, 20214 yr It really is well done in a lot of ways. I did some practice approaches in the Puget Sound area tonight with low broken clouds and areas of fog, and the visuals in the sim matched really well with reported conditions. Fog was patchy, laying in valleys etc... really looked nice. Cumulus were overdone as they always are, and I had one instance of really terrible weather popping in - they seriously need to smooth out major transitions. But in general, wx depictions were great. Actually in the UK, we have one called Pedigree Chum - I have been temped a few times - smells delicious! Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind).
