November 18, 20214 yr Haven't had a chance to try the new update myself yet, but in streams I'm watching the new haze just looks incredible. The crazy far visibility has been a major immersion killer for me in msfs2020, you just can't see that far in real life, but this new haze really adds so much. Glad to see they're still tweaking and playing with the weather system as time goes on. Edited November 18, 20214 yr by DiscoSweat
November 18, 20214 yr I agree. Low visibility due to haze and humidity is spot on. Great job Asobo. This was my biggest gripe with the sim. I am so glad right now. Baber My Youtube Channel http://www.youtube.com/user/HDOnlive
November 18, 20214 yr Had a few quick flights and I agree, it looks amazing and really changes the overall scene. Great addition. November 18, 20214 yr It is a good step forward but still needs work. Flying in SoCal it looks awesome when it is working, but can quickly unrealistically drop in an out of it times presumably due to some metar stuff. So metar smoothing may be needed. I'm also seeing haze in the sim right now at KOMA (where I'm located) and the metar and actual sky out my window is clear, which has me a bit concerned they may have over-done it. November 19, 20214 yr I have been using the Sim with the SU7 upgrade and the haze effect is amazing . I have also been using DX12 and the clouds even look better than before .

November 19, 20214 yr Sorry, I don't see where the haze option is. Can someone point me to it? Should be obvious, but I don't see it.

It was definitely overdone on my flight out of DFW this afternoon. There’s no haze here in real life today and the METAR reported 10 miles visibility. I couldn’t even see across the other side of the airport because of the haze. We had clear skies and good visibility. Hopefully they’ll figure out a solution but a lot of airport METARS report 10 miles visibility even if the actual visibility is much higher. It’s just a standard METAR visibility report in some places to make it 10 when it could be 30 miles visibility. If the sim is going to make haze everywhere that has a 10 mile visibility report then that’s going to be a problem.

Perfect! lol.... maybe they came to the realization that 'visibility' is the aeronautical term that should be in use. | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
