Removed a couple of mods that seem to cause issues, and all is well. No loss in frame rates. LOLZ! Another positive thread, dive bombed. We are all connected..... To each other, biologically...... A year in, and they’re letting down the rest of the team… It's beyond annoying. Of all logical things to continually randomly change . They choose this sword to die on.. Basic functionality. I can honestly deal with real bugs. You didn't catch that.. Sucks but I get it. But when you arbitrary choose to just change stuff for the sake of changing stuff that your userbase is mentally conditioned to know.. For no good reason, and no documentation. Like seriously. To be frank any MSFS-update that doesn't make it impossible to fly is a winner in my book... I have done three flights this morning in the DC6. First two in the midwest US, haze everywhere, field was marginal special VFR on takeoff and landing on both flights. I just took off from LFRQ in France, again haze on the runway was so bad, I had trouble picking out the horizon on rotation. For many, this will be unflyable.
November 20, 20214 yr So, lemme get this straight.. a half-baked DX12, a half-baked replay, a half-baked weather upgrade.. plus new bugs that were not there in SU6.. hmm.. and we had to download 33 Gigs for all this? Vis 10 everywhere where metars say 10SM - XP had this issue at first so I understand Asobo is working at it and I appreciate that. I love flying IFR, but it is nice to see scenery on approach if weather is VFR, can't do that anymore. I actually like the haze. This may be an unpopular opinion, but with 10,000 hours of real flying in all parts of the world, I think it looks fairly realistic. Maybe a tad overdone, but the only time i've ever seen the skies more clear in real life was flying when COVID first hit 😂. Just kidding. I've seen "unlimited" visibility, but that is surprisingly pretty rare. I think this may be the first implementation of actual atmospheric conditions based on humidity and other factors. Regardless, even if the haze is overdone, they are definitely moving in the right direction. AMD 9950X3D | 64 GB RAM | RTX 5090 FMR: 747 FO, 757/767 CAPT, 737 Check Airman Current 777 CAPT

November 20, 20214 yr Some keep saying "haze everywhere" has if saying it many times would make it true. No, it's not everywhere, it's in the US and caused by the 10SM visibility limit bug that existed in other simulators too and will be fixed (preferably soon). I don't fly in the US and didn't see any haze yet. So, what about stopping beating that dead horse and wait for the fix? Haze with an RVR of 5,000 feet or less on a clear weather day with dew point spread of 25 degrees or more is not normal by any stretch.
