I know others have said this, but I just can't justify spending any more money on this word not allowed show. This constant breaking of the sim in so many ways is just too frustrating. Time to give it up and spend resources elsewhere again. So disappointing that Asobo are so word not allowed. It is just an unprofessional word not allowed show.

I couldn't agree more.  It baffles me what they break with each new Sim Update.  This time they cut the beta team prematurely and proceeded forward with this so called update.  Without a beta team what do we expect?  Now their off for the holidays and it's a short month in December.  We might not see this fixed until January.  I thought they'd do better after the XBOX release because there's a wider audience.  No such luck on that one.🙁

well said, they broke VR features that were reported during beta, and yet they decided to move forward with the release

I think Microsoft is to blame for this, they probably forced a deadline on Asobo for GOTY they could not meet, there is no other sensible explanation for this failure.

This is literally what I keep saying. It is definitely Microsoft who enforced the release date, regardless of issues. They are the publisher. That's how the industry works. The publisher, overall, directs the project, and they set the release dates.

Hopefully Jorg is right and they have now shifted the development schedule entirely to bug fixing instead of new features, for the next few months.

removing the log book end screen was a super easy fix ( as they even proclaimed) however it took them ages to do it.

Yeah sure, but we don't know their schedules and strategies on fixing things, maybe they do the simplest things last, meanwhile concentrating on things the public doesn't even know was a major problem under the hood.

I think I've mentioned this point before, and I was going to say it myself again.

Absolutely true that many, or even the majority of, bugs will not be known of by the user base. That includes public beta testers; so many issues crop up that don't make it into a public beta test build.

Also true that something you yourself think should be easy, as a programmer, causes unexpected problems.

Moreover, it happens that some things work in your editing environment, then don't in the build on another machine, for no obvious reason, and you have to try to recreate it in your editor to be able to fix it. Etc.

Ian states a fact but you bring two pure conjectures to the debate.

Me too and for a long time. There is a project manager, (Neumann,  « head of the product »), and this is him who decides. Not Asobo.

And along the months, all indicates that the project has not been managed with the satisfaction of existing customers in mind but to build the sim on a new platform and increase the volume of sales though an insane release schedule of updates. It also denoted a poor coordination between Asobo, the Azure and Bing teams.

There cannot be any quality control in this scheme.

You are also satisfied with 8 GB of RAM.

Don't take offence but please consider that your satisfaction threshold may be different from the average user's. We are all different.
