You can vote by selecting on the diffrerent radio buttons. You should see the numbers (by the thousands at this hour).

What?  I don't really get what you mean.

There is no thread about a Hotfix that can be voted on in the official MSFS forums at https://forums.flightsimulator.com/ that I can find.  If there is, please post the link to it.

I have a feeling that METAR parser tweak can be done on Aosobo server without any hot fixes in the sim

My hunch as well. If it is a data ingestion/interpolation/interpretation issue it seems to my former developer self, that this would very much fall on the server side.

Since SU7 the game will not start or takes long long time without any reaction, task managaer is showing flightsimulator.exe as inactive, sometimes the sim is starting sometimes not, with empty comunity folder or with addons in the folder, it doesn't matter and seems not to be the root cause. It's for me the major showstopper not to know, will it start today or not. I think as written above, it's a server problem after ervery SU, hotfix or whatever update. Hard to believe that this simulator ever will be stable and useable as announced. Best regards

Ah yiss, every 3 months or so I check in to make sure Asobo hasn’t changed. They never disappoint!

I would also like to see a hotfix for these issues but if they can't (or won't) I would like the option to revert back to a point where this sim worked(for a great majority of people). As it looks to me Osobo rushed this out knowing about all the problems just so they could advertise that it is DX12 compatible(which for most it is not). This is so obviously a rush job, needed to get that DX12 out though.

The Rush was for Game of the Year, for the X boxers.

How fast do you expect a reaction?

I don't expect there to be a need for a reaction.  It's almost like we take it for granted that these updates are going to destroy as much as they do.

If MS/Asobo doesn't see the need for an entirely different approach by now, I wonder if they ever will.  I don't think the answer is to "Keep lowering your expectations...and hope for the best" ... especially when it is MS/A  who are creating these expectations in the first place.

In my work, I would not have been allowed to leave it in a mess like that, they would have called me back, weekend or not

I wouldn't know, they have never had the need to call me back. 😆

It's obvious that Microsoft had set a release date for GOTY, and Asobo did not meet the deadline, the same thing that happened with the Xbox release, so I think we'll see a hotfix in a few days.

Even the option of a roll-back to SU6 would be a really nice option for most of us who have issues. These forced updates are garbage!

We certainly don't deserve a developer like Asobo, the entitlement in some is staggering. We should be commending them for furthering the software at a rate we could only dream of a few years ago. They have always reacted and delivered before so please just afford them a little time to respond.

Yep people nowadays full of drama apparently. Apparently some think devs are machines with no life.

It may also be that people are too young or to new to flight simulator to fully appreciate the luxury we now have with an active development team at all. They want it all fast nowadays because it's a game and the game must work, like all other games do (incomparable).

While the oldies remember tweaking fs98, fs2004 or fsx night after night to get 3 fps more out of it, without any official support being there!

Yes and if we don't let them do the things they need to do like getting Xbox sorted and DLC out on time, they could go the way of Aces!

From Wiki:

"According to former Aces employee Phil Taylor, the shutdown was not due to sales performance of FSX, but due to management problems and delays in project delivery, combined with increased demand for staff.[12] "

So as much as we all want them to accede to our varied demands in as short a time as possible, including hotfixes, I imagine Asobo's boss hasn't changed his spots one bit and still wants on time project delivery while keeping costs to a minimum. So, no new staff or external developers to assist with things like AI, hotfixes over weekends etc etc. I cant help feeling that the combination of on time project delivery requirements and staff limitations combine to make thorough and rigorous testing of SU's less than optimal hence the issues that arise especially with these SU's like 5 and 7,  complicated as they were by Xbox and Reno.

Asobo are doing a great job under the circumstances but let's recognise they are marching to the beat of the MS drum and I imagine they cant always do what they would like to or, more importantly what we would like them to.

Cheers
