Hi,

Yes,

I've solved the problem for the moment, returning Windows to yesterday point of restoration. But I see I can't uninstall MSFS 2020 (the option does not work).

So, I'll buy an extra SSD disc and reinstall Windows and MSFS 2020 on that new disc.

Thank you for all your help.

John,

since you're considering a Windows reinstall, please look at Win 11.

I have just migrated and very satisfied with the results, running P3d v5.3 and MFS both in DX 12 and with great performance.

Will two installs on the same PC work?

Yes.

I really and truly  ABSOLUTELY DESPISE microsoft store. Why did I even bother trying this update/beta. It's always PENDING PENDING PENDING and infinite spinning circles with no options. I rebooted, went in the Command Prompt to reset it, and nothing. The right account is signed in. I logged out and back in and that did not fix it. I guess there are other "solutions" online. I really truly regret buying it on MS Store, can I transfer it to Steam? This is absolutely ridiculous. WHY CAN'T IT JUST UPDATE WHEN IT'S TIME TO UPDATE?!?!?!?!

There is no update due right now. A beta testing build is available via Xbox Insider, that's all.

I sympathise.  I see that dreaded spinning circle in my dreams.

no sorry, that windows re-install is a classic joke as a last resort but normally total overkill 😀

if you enter FLIGHTSIMULATOR in the task bar search field bottom left, you should see this and should be able to uninstall from there. if you can't manage this, your last resort might indeed be a windows restore and fresh install of MSFS, if you struggle too much it is beta to refrain from beta 😀

Just completed my first flight in the Public Beta and have a big smile on my face.😁

F-104 flies better and radar pick more targets than before. I wonder if it's placebo or some real improvement LOL

I went thru the Xbox Insider to try the beta. It still required going thru stupid MS Store. After much rage I shut my laptop off completely (restarting wasnt enough) and then MS Store stopped pending and pushed the download thru.

OOPS.

Although I only did one flight yesterday, I had a similar experience in that, for the first time in days, KRNT didn't have a haze/fog around it, and I wasn't having to struggle to see the runway from 1,000' elevation.  (It was an overcast day, with broken clouds at 3,100', but that layer didn't seem artificially low.)  A minute or so after I landed, it began to rain, and I was seeing and hearing it -- on my previous flight at LSGG, when it was supposed to be in heavy rain, it just seemed to be heavy haze, as I'm guessing the rain was falling from a cloud base below ground level.

Now, I'd have to do more testing but, so far, the main problem I was experiencing since SU7 seems to be gone on my first flight.  I'll have to try it again later on today but, if I still don't see it in a few locations, I may reconsider my plans to join the public beta.  (Then again, maybe I won't -- I wouldn't want to see the problem reappear in the hotfix.)

Well, it was nice while it lasted...the haze/fog level is back in the beta.  🤬
