If any aircraft uses WASM is where the problem start for Xbox, otherwise it works just fine. Joerg explained yesterday why and what steps they are taking to move things forward.

PMDG stated that they had an entire library of code that they wanted to continue using, so they have to deal with different issues than a new dev working on a new plane from scratch using native, MSFS specific code would. There's no going through code line by line trying to update older code to use the new methods exposed by the sim. Its a little different writing code from a "We used to lower the flaps and read the position this way, now we need replace it with a similar function to lower the flaps and provide the position feedback returning the results using the same method we did before" compared to "Okay, now we need to add flap movement and return the position feedback, let's see what is available for us to work with". PMDG needs everything they replace to use same inputs and provide the same return information as the old code did. New devs have a wide open slate and much more flexibility. Neither way is necessarily better better than the other, but my personal opinion is that porting can be more difficult as it comes with many constraints in place before you even start. 

I still think the issue was the English to French translation, so I fault Google Translate for the delays.

I don't see that two sides did say opposing things, if you look at Randazzo's vague comments and read between the lines to an extent. His accusation was that Asobo were ignoring them, not answering them. Okay, so Asobo and MS say actually they are in Discord meetings every day, including the day Randazzo started his forum posts. So you could say these statements are contradictory -- but Randazzo's comments, as they developed, contradicted themselves, because he then implied that they had received an answer (as Seb said), but they didn't agree with it, and Randazzo was insisting to Asobo that the base sim needs some kind of fundamental change to solve the (at that point unexplained, mystery) problem. And on that point Randazzo said himself "if we are right" and Asobo are wrong. It seemed to me Randazzo intimated that they had actually got a response, but they didn't accept the response. Seb is being diplomatic, rightfully, and accepting that maybe they didn't understand how the issue was conveyed because it seemed too obvious, that nobody else was having a problem, and as Seb put it it was already "in the doc" (the documentation), if I heard that correctly in the live feed.

So, no, I don't believe that either party is contradicting the other. I don't think Seb would claim they are in daily discussions knowing Randazzo can easily say otherwise publicly. I think Randazzo didn't explain himself in the forum when he said no communication for 100 days, because, as I said, his other comments seem to suggest it was more like not getting the particular answer we wanted.

At this moment WASM files can cause Simconnect to “overload” itself so you will see a framerate drop over time.

Temporary solution is to Reload the ac in Developers mode. Immediately the framerate is back up.

Shame that such a simple issue cost us a third of a years development on the NG3. We could've had it by now.

Randazzo should spend more time reading the bloody manuals instead of coming up with long forum threads that he himself only finds witty which say nothing other than announcing products or upgrades that we may see by 2030.

Randazzo is also a small village in Sicily. May we fly over there with PMDG products, one day, in honor of Captain Randazzo.

The irony here is a little delicious, given that the (largely justified) reputation of the PMDG forums, and the PMDG subforum that previously existed here, was as a chorus of official, quasi-official, and merely officious but private PMDG associates telling anyone with a question or complaint to read the manual with varying degrees of tact. 😃

I seem to remember that it was more along the lines of "no communication / resolution on this issue for 100 days", but I may be mistaken. At least to me it was never in clear contradiction to saying they communicate several times a week.

Honestly I find some ego issues here. PMDG think they are the biggest fish in the sea and should get top priority and all the attention of the dev team to themselves. Certainly that is not the case and it hurt the feelings of Mr. Robert. 

As much as I can understand a certain frustration at having to wait for the 737, I find these personal attacks on Mr Randazzo very out of place.

I think it was just a little dust up and misunderstanding.  It happens all the time.  This one just played out publicly and scared a lot of us.  Friends fight sometime.  That's life.  At the end of the day, it got sorted and things are moving on.

One thing is certain:  Jorg is really serious about the sim having all its core features working and having complex 3rd party add-ons in the sim.  You can easily see that in the dev Q&As.  He's even using more swear words than he used to...lol.

I don't see much here that I would classify as a personal attack.   There are people commenting on his attitude and behavior, yes, but as someone who puts himself forward as a public figure, especially one who can be a bit of a firebrand, that is to be expected.   There is a difference between being personally attacked, and having to answer for your public behavior.   And, besides, no one can say that over its many years in the flight sim space, PMDG has been a company that avoided drama.

Insulting Randazzo's intelligence or his maternal lineage would be personal attacks.   Laughing over the fact that the general feeling is he seems to have made a bit of an word not allowed of himself in public and is being called out for it is not.
