Compatibility fix for pmsGNS530 and GTN750 due out tomorrow.

The patches are out. Quick test: The 430 looks good now. I tried the GTN750 free toolbar version only - map can be panned again and zoom in/out works.

Using Right-Alt click on the 430 to pop it out reduces my FPS from 60 to 43, so that slowdown is not fixed.

Made my Cyberattack-fighting day !

It is a funny one at least.  I am sure they will tweak it and get it working properly.
It just amazes me how they put all the work into this new propwash feature, beat their chests about it when announcing it to the world, but nobody spotted this when testing it.  Austin Meyer - the propwash king himself, will be laughing his rear end off!

Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind).

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

Intel 14900K in a Z790 motherboard with water cooling, RTX 4080, 32 GB 6000 CL30 DDR5 RAM, W11 and MSFS on Samsung 980 Pro NVME SSD's.  Core Isolation Off, Game Mode Off.

besides that it is not a typical move to apply full throttle with parking brakes set, the C152 just flies great, gave it a quick spin around ENAL

True!  It's not a sim-breaker, it just demonstrates there is a problem with the 'true-to-life' physics in there somewhere.

Nice picture by the way.  The overcast is looking better!

I only tried the Caravan (also has the new propwash model) and didn't notice much difference. There is almost no rudder required to compensate for P-factor. Also couldn't find new parameters to set things up in the flightmodel.cfg or engines.cfg.

Yes, i'm using the modern flightmodel.
Will have a try with the C152 later in the day.

60-130 fps. no CPU overclocking.

very nice.

What I don't understand is this:

It seems obvious that this a beta of the core flight simulator. The beta doesn't care one flying f...what kinds of addons you have in your community folder.

If the addon is incompatible with the beta, it's up to the mod developer to fix this.

That is the only way the sim can move forward.

Clearly, if a simmer is a wee little baby carrot who gets bent out of shape because his favorite little mod isn't functional anymore, then, sure, don't install the beta.

Eventually, though, everybody is going to be dragged into the new version kicking and screaming, so might as well rip off the band aid and in doing so contribute to trouble shooting the sim.

David, could you please show the complete path, I can't locate it, probably one too many installs-beta de-installs-re-installs 😊

Last night I opted in the beta, fired up the sim, then options, selected my audio device in sound option instead of default as suggested, loaded up a flight, took off, panning left and right felt quite smooth not a single stutter, really enjoyed the whole flight, there are definitely improvements in the performance department. No issues that I could see, did not have much time to test further but so far I like the beta.

Great job Asobo, keep it up!

For Steam: %appdata%\Microsoft Flight Simulator\SimObjects\Airplanes\Asobo_Longitude. MSStore should be similar.

Well said!

The community folder contents should be the last priority right now for beta testing, this is about CORE issues!

Folks just want to have their cake and eat it too!

At this point 3rd party addon developers should expect to always have to patch/update their products on this train ride of a constantly updated sim.

The throttle axis issue was prime example and warning of what's to come!

Users are now saying the FPS hit could be down to default sound device being selected in settings options.

that would have been too easy. for some strange reason I don't find it there (store version here).

after fiddling with some file attributes in the wpSystem folder, MSFS wouldn't run at all. And if you people won't help me, I will just re-install the game from scratch, there! funny enough, after re-installing gaming services, store, xbox app and what not, all of a sudden when I was already prepared for the "120 GB" download, it would  simply install the SU8 beta, should have listened to my mother when she said: "boy, never fiddle around with the file properties in green in the wpSystem folder". But I simply wouldn't listen. let's see what happens when you manually remove that useless encryption and change their color from green to black, can't hurt can it. 😀.

later: only 4.34 GB downloading and updating to SU8 beta - sigh. I think we all have to go through this one way or the other once in a while 😀

Come on now, don't call it a lie. It was a mistake that they were very quick to clarify.

I still can't believe I'm the only simmer who's experienced this problem.

perhaps you have some repaints or any other 3rd party aircraft in your community folder? I just started SU8 with an empty community, and I have not observed any panel anomality with the citation challengerspacer.png.
