In the thread above the FPS drop is solved for me by changing my sound devices to the actual device instead of "Default device".

Intel Core i5-12600k, Nvidia RTX 4070 Super, 128 Gigs.

Just finished my first flight between EFHK and ESSA, performance was worse, bad fps around both airports and stuttering where I never experience it before, and Runnway 26 was broken at ESSA, nah.. I will revert back to previus version.

Another Asobo update masterpiece. Just think, in a few more weeks we all will be forced to install this.

Another value added comment from you.

// 5800X3D // RTX 3090 // 64GB RAM // HP REVERB G2 //

Just finished an eventless FBW flight from ENAL to LGAV, eventless in the sense of perfect with no issues whatsoever. Smooth fps.

well, when I then tried to load the C152 to check the new prop model - CTD. Teaches me to stick to the heavy iron. Well, may try tomorrow again.

I could narrow down my CTDs to the 'red flashlight mod' & 'Rob Young's toolbar mod' which was working fine up to SU7.

The really heavy slideshow like stutters on final approach somewhere in Mexico were gone immediately after killing Rex weather and swithing to live weather.

To be accurate, it isn't a finished update, it is a beta. The issues reported so far are on day one, so don't be so pessimistic - yet!

On the positive side, the weather appears to be improved.

They reported the Track IR problem on day one, and guess what, it was released anyway, weeks later.

Hence my 'yet' comment.  How about trying to focus on the good as well - 'the weather appears to have improved'.

Some seem to mistake beta with early access.

Betas are always buggy dude. We can complain if they really don't fix things between today and GA that are reported.

If I remember correctly Asobo first said they ran out time and won't release public beta. Than they reversed their decision and released beta with disclaimer  that all reported bugs won't be  make it in the next release.

But when Beta testers report a problem, Dude, and I have beta tested off and on for years, they problems are fixed before release.  That has not happened with MSFS Betas.
