May 7, 20224 yr Well this is annoying. I have too many new airplanes to learn to fly! Love it. I have never had a PMDG 737 product... hopefully the learning curve won't be too steep. The FBW 320 got me into tubeliners, and it looks too good to pass up.

What a couple of weeks it has been for MSFS and for folks who enjoy GA and for those who like airliners. I have been a PMDG customer since the Fly! II days. I'm very much looking forward to seeing how beautiful this thing will look with the MSFS rendering engine. Fun days ahead!
May 7, 20224 yr Ahhhhhhh crazy how i'm flying home to New Orleans on a 737-700 the same day the PMDG releases. My first flight that evening will be a recreation of the flight I took. HAPPY FLYING ~G "Heavy1216" Edge Intel Core i9 10850k 5.0ghz, GeFore RTX 3080 , ASUSTek Prime Z490-V, 32GB DDR4 3600
May 7, 20224 yr This is the key bit for me, and not really news given where the sim is and all the other great aircraft already out, but always good to hear something like this from the likes of PMDG:There were plenty of folks proclaiming success or failure, and many more who suggested we would need to sacrifice realism or completeness for reasons that were never truly clear to any of us who were actually working on the product. Microsoft Flight Simulator is, without a doubt, the best simulation platform that any of us on the development team have ever put a product into. There are plenty of moments in development where we would share images with one another and reflect upon just how good it looked, and how smoothly it ran, and how rewarding it was to see both of those behaviors at the same time- because our training up to now has lead us to believe that performance and beauty are mutually exclusive. They aren't.In the PMDG 737-700 for MSFS you have an incredible depth of richness that we think will serve you well for years to come. From our entirely customized autopilot, flight model, systems modeling and highly refined sound environment made up of entire interior and exterior sound samples, we provide you with an experience that is as immersive as it is accurate Len 1980s: Sublogic FS II on C64 ---> 1990s: Flight Unlimited I/II, MSFS 95/98 ---> 2000s/2010s: FS/X, P3D, XP ---> 2020+: MSFS Current system: i9 13900K, RTX 4090, 64GB DDR5 4800 RAM, 4TB NVMe SSD
May 7, 20224 yr Are they offering a discount to P3D customers? There was something about an upgrade price, but I'm not sure if this is the release that they were referring to. MSFS

I don’t think casual Flight simmers are going to pay for a Navigraph subscription. Already, in the last Navigraph survey in December, the majority of Navigraph users are using MSFS. That is, the “hard core” flight sim enthusiast already prefers MSFS over the other competition. Still, there was a lot of holdouts because MSFS didn’t have any study level airliners. With the release of study level airliners in MSFS this year, I think some of those holdouts will gradually spend more time using MSFS. So it’s possible that by the next Navigraph survey, the percentage of users that use MSFS may increase even further, from the Navigraph survey last December. May 7, 20224 yr Just hope the plane is the most realistic in terms of flight model vs real world. Sure eye candy is nice and “immersive” is good too, but I care way more about aircraft handling realism. May 7, 20224 yr I bought the Maddog for 80 USD so a either I’ma sucker or I would pay double for this thing. it’s probably the former lol. Ryan
May 7, 20224 yr Poor credit cards taking some beating this last week or so...... But it's great to see all these fine aircraft now appearing in MSFS, they are a bit like buses, you wait ages for one, and they all come along at the same time. May 7, 20224 yr I was going to hold off for the 737-800, but dang, this just looks so delicious I know I'm going to own the 700 next week. With the FBW A320, the Leonardo Maddog and this... my tubeliner bases are covered.
