I assume that's not possible with a manually downloaded chart? I believe AviTab (for XP) let's you georeference PDF charts manually. I'm not sure if there is equivalent software for MSFS though.

You assign it as your default printer and it prints all your charts digitally in pdf format. You can just set ‘save as pdf’ option as your printer from the printer drop down in the print screen and save the files as pdf.
May 29, 20224 yr ChartFox - Free Flight Simulation Charts ChartFox is the best source for free charts. Only downside is no addon plane EFB integration and Vatsim Account is a must. You can even use it in the SimToolkitPro EFB just like Navigraph. Edited May 29, 20224 yr by FlyerNYC
May 29, 20224 yr That is why I purchased Avliasoft EFB years ago. All the charts I ever need, and they are obtained from the sim. Sids, Stars, Airport diagrams, frequencies, etc. etc.
May 29, 20224 yr Ah, I remember back in the day of the dino... I mean my youth, when I didn't have navigraph and everything related to charts and navigation data was a big hassle. Yes, there are free charts out there, but they can be a big pain to navigate to. For example, AIP Norway is a big mess, and you need to be an archivist to understand the logic behind it. Navigraph is simply put the only one of its kind to have the complete package with seemless integration with multiple addons and, last but not least, Simbrief. You could download the PDF copies for those for a cycle to keep. Not sure if Europe or any other countries has anything similar for free though. 3 hours ago, kfd said: You could just go to any country’s AIP and search and download any charts, TAPs etc for free. Here is a link to the UK AIP for Aerodromes. When you click on the Airport you want, scroll right to the bottom of the page and the charts will be there to download. Here is a link to the UK AIP Aerodrome charts as a taster: https://www.aurora.nats.co.uk/htmlAIP/Publications/2022-05-19-AIRAC/html/index-en-GB.html As @FlyerNYC already said an hour ago, there's a way simpler way to get this: chartfox.org. Chartfox links to the respective Chart URL and you have most of the charts you're looking for via a single platform.
May 29, 20224 yr The Jeppesen charts you get from Navigraph are exactly the same ones you get with a Jepp subscription for use in a real aircraft. The only difference is the red “Intended for flight simulation use only” warning printed at the bottom of every chart. Other than that, the charts are identical. For authorized use in r/w aviation, a worldwide Jeppesen chart subscription costs over $10,000 per year per aircraft. The nav data is a little less expensive. FMS AIRACS are “only” $7,500 per year for worldwide coverage - again, per aircraft. Considering that, the €80 annual Navigraph subscription is a tremendous value. That said, there are free options for r/w charts as others have pointed out. In the US you can get free charts from the FAA web site, or from SkyVector or numerous other sites that link to the FAA charts. Many (but not all) European countries offer free charts through their national AIP service. Jim BarrettLicensed Airframe & Powerplant Mechanic, Avionics, Electrical & Air Data Systems Specialist. I wish you can just keep all the charts that you bought for that particular cycle only. Anything you can send to the printer, you should be able to save as PDF in Windows. I think in the Windows 10 or 11 print window, there is an option to “print to PDF” instead of sending it to the printer. Now whether Navigraph terms allow you to save their charts as a PDF file, that I don’t know. You’ll have to read up on their terms. i5-12400, RTX 3060 Ti, 32 GB RAM

I would buy the boxed software off the shelf and use it for years - I think I paid $160 for it once. The main thing that forced me to buy a new copy was a change of Windows versions. Today, I have no choice but to pay a monthly fee. Randall Rocke

May 29, 20224 yr Yeah you pay yearly and you owe it for a year. Running i5-9600K @ 4.8ghz - 32GB DDR4 3200mhz - GTX 3070.

May 29, 20224 yr The Navigraph PC application used to keep a local database of the charts you downloaded, and you could keep/use that offline for as long as you wanted. I think the change to a pure subscription service happened around the same time they got access to the actual Jeppesen charts, so I'd venture a guess it's got something to do with a Jeppesen licensing issue. The navdata that you get from Navigraph is usable for as long as you want, so I guess it's possible to subscribe for a month, download the navdata sets for all your add-ons, then cancel and use charts from another source. I regularly archive the FAA D-TPP chart sets here so that I can always go back to a complete set of US approach plates that matches the database in the latest version of the Garmin trainer used in the RealityXP GTN units. That said, the Jepp charts are more complete--the FAA/NOAA charts don't include parking diagrams, for example.
