There are 99 reasons that MSFS might be assumed to be for Xbox, but that shouldn’t be one 🙂

Xbox Game Studios is an American video game publisher and part of Microsoft Gaming division based in Redmond, Washington. It was established in March 2000, spun out from an internal Games Group, for the development and publishing of video games for Microsoft Windows. Wikipedia

I've wondered about ASXGS as I'm sure others have, and also why Xbox compatibility might be the reason for a delay in releasing planes.

Kneel before Xbox !

5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB  PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. Crystal Light VR.

The lack of fixing simconnect and other API issues are a clear result of Xbox IMO

I can remember back when we first caught whiff of this simulator, and some people were quite adamant that the 'AS' part proved that Aerosoft was involved. 🙄

Surely not everybody was kung fu fighting.

I think it has to do with the coming obliteration of earth by space-reindeers....

The truth is out there.

We are all connected..... To each other, biologically...... To the Earth, chemically...... To the rest of the Universe atomically.

If you play the audio of the ATC take-off instructions in reverse, it says, "PRAISE THE XBOX, THE CONSOLE IS UPON US."

They're indoctrinating our simmers right under our noses!

Xbox Game Studios is just a rebranding of Microsoft Game Studios. XBox is the catch all term for all of MS's games now, it doesn't mean just consoles, hence why their PC games are also downloaded from the 'Xbox App'.

They've published PC exclusive games. Age of Empires IV for example. Plus any game they published that was exclusive before the rebranding.

Am I the only one who grows tired of the rag on Xbox? I’m a ps5 guy myself but the fact that consoles are decently powerful enough nowdays to run a game like msfs is nothing but good for the flight sim community as a whole in the long run. Heck, half the people complaining or making posts trying to word not allowed on the Xbox have computers worse than the Xbox’s specs, the other half just have some sort of elitist mindset.

Another angsty thread for the snobby flight sim segment to scoff at "gamers" and their "Xbox" and calling their flight sim a "game".

[MSI MPG X870E Carbon | 9800X3D (PBO +200Mhz / -20 Offset) | Corsair 64GB DDR5 (Custom Timings) | RTX 4090 Founders Edition (Undervolted) | WD SNX 850X 4TB + 4TB | Antec Flux Pro]

That MSFS came to xbox is good for all of us and 3rd party devs. It opens up a huge market and will help fund the development of this sim and 3rd partys. And it will make sure this sim will survive those 10 years lifespan Microsoft planned for. If they would be dependent on just us hardcore flightsimmers  not sure this sim would ever been made.
