September 13, 20223 yr I tried to fly the C172 today on floats up in the mountains... not enough power especially in the hot weather. Once I landed I could not takeoff again. (probably could use some new water physics too!) I know we'll soon have the Kodiak but we really could use a ACA Scout, Maule, or T182/206 on floats. What would you like to see on floats? September 13, 20223 yr There are quite a few float options already. You could always use the Widgeon or Goose. In small stuff we also have stuff like the C140, XCub, several of the ultralights and of course the Husky. Then there is also the float ju52 and all those vintage Italian float planes from the legends of flight series. Not to mention the Twin Otter and the PC6 both have float versions. Heaps out there if you look around.
September 13, 20223 yr I should go do some float plane flying with the PC-6, good idea. Haven't tried the float version yet, forgot about it. AMD 5800x | Nvidia 3080 (12gb) | 64gb ram
September 13, 20223 yr As long as there is no physical water interaction, I could not care less about floatplane availability... Greetings, Chris AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D, 2x32GB DDR5 6000MT/s RAM, MSI RTX 4090 Ventus 3X, Windows 11 Home, MSFS2024

With the reality that we're not ever going to see a RealAir version ever again, it now comes down to who else can give this great aircraft and it's siblings, the Citabria and Decathlon, some real justice. SWS comes first to mind but there are other developers on the scene who might be less prone to give it the glass cockpit treatment. Steam gauges are preferred, thank you. "That's what" - She
September 13, 20223 yr I agree that it the sim really could do with water physics, otherwise it's not very realistic. I would like to see more float planes once this is done (if it is done).

September 13, 20223 yr Commercial Member Btw. the free Lorby Mooring app is also compatible with MSFS. It basically throws an anchor (not visually, but physically). Either one where you swing around or a fixed tie down. Works with all aircraft. LORBY-SI

Now we just need to wait for someone to show up and tell us to instead to use that other sim that has 3d water and physics 😆 Edited September 13, 20223 yr by steve310002
September 13, 20223 yr The Beaver (hopefully it's as good as it should be) and a SWS-level C185 with and without floats would be amazing. 😎
September 13, 20223 yr The DHC-3 Turbo Otter ... would be the holy grail of bush flyer ... heard that Milviz may do it at some point.
