AHH! What caught my eye was the white graphic:

"locate the registry file that was in the SDK... or in the GITHUB repository"
"from Windows Explorer doble click the file and merge the changes to the Windows Registry..."

That is what I attempted to follow along with, for a few seconds (LOL), before doing a second web search.

Yet again, visibility depiction in the atmosphere has not been implemented in SU10  Nor is there any mention of this coming in SU11....sigh.

so i've stayed away from all the DX12 chatter, I'm using a moderate PC with a 1070 (I've google and my old card does support it - I think).  Why would I choose DX12 over the default DX11?

I switched to the DX12 just to see the work in progress, but now I'm back to the DX11.

Just did a quick benchmark using MSI afterburner. 1% lows stay above 30fps. Otherwise very smooth, few stutters, even when panning vigorously around like a madman 😉

thanks for reply but doesn't answer my question.  I can see you need this new NVIDIA driver to maximise DX12 in SU10.  But I'm a bit confused about the benefits of DX12 vs DX11.

Same thing happened to me.  It's a Window, so click and hold the top bar and raise it up and you will see the buttons.  I changed mine back to full screen.

Very happy with SU10.  I was not in beta so this is my first experience with it. Definitely got a performance boast on DX11, haven't tried DX12 yet. 

AI is still broken and a total mess. Some airport planes not departing spinning 360 and making a big s&*tpile of nothing. A huge AI mess. 3 years and onward.

The DX12 thing needs to be optimized, in the previous it was unusable, but now it works without stutters, although at lower fps on my system. Also, I saw better ambient lights and colors with the DX12 (maybe placebo effect?).

no not placebo i have got the same, cleaner, brighter images

Funnily enough, after installing the update, the sim was in windowed mode for me. Never had that before, but I was able to switch to fullscreen from the graphics menu.
