September 21, 20223 yr Sadly the issue affecting some of us with AMD cards when only using DX12 causes strange coloured tiles in the apron area's and taxiways, Reported during Beta is still there...hmmm Back to DX11 for me. September 21, 20223 yr Just got it installed and now doing a test flight around Bergen Norway in the default Porter. Just a few things I notice so far.... 1 Ground textures seemed to have been stepped up a notch. Sharper and clearer. 2 Clouds look improved with more fidelity. 3 Definitely feel some wind gust unlike before. 4 Also notice a wave like affect on at lease some coast lines now. Performance so far is indifferent on my system but then again MSFS has always ran good on my somewhat new computer. Upper mid level prebuilt gaming system from Spring of 2021. 2070 video card.

Yah, that's a slight annoyance. There were some weird DEV mode issues with AMD's as well, so I had to return mine and get a 3080. Would have rather kept the 6900xt, the performance was better than the 3080 (in some cases). Edited September 21, 20223 yr by Alpine Scenery AMD 5800x | Nvidia 3080 (12gb) | 64gb ram

September 21, 20223 yr Can someone please advice what we need to do if we were in the Beta? I see some people say we don't need to do anything and already have the latest version. If this is true, do we still need to leave the beta via the insiders hub or does that mess things up? If we don't leave the beta via the insiders hub will it not mess things up later? I vaguely remember Asobo gave a deadline to remove yourself from one of the previous beta's or else your install would become messed up. I checked the official forums and it is really not clear to me.

September 21, 20223 yr Hmm, was on the beta, ran the sim and it just worked without downloading anything. Now I'm getting a 1.8 GB update when launching again. This is an update before the "Checking for updates" screen. [Edit]: Just noticed it's now version 1.27.21 Edited September 21, 20223 yr by JSmith2112 Intel Core i5-12600k, Nvidia RTX 4070 Super, 128 Gigs.
September 21, 20223 yr Sigh, they still havent fixed spinning AI when waiting. I was hoping it just wasn't in the release note but alas...no.

The memory management driver feature is automatically enabled by the sim if you are in the new driver, in SU10. There is no additional action or patch required by the sim team. Again, just to be 100% clear on this: - If you are not on the new driver, the sim will not attempt to engage the DX12 driver memory management feature - If you _are_ on the new driver, DX12 driver memory management will be enabled by the sim Edited September 21, 20223 yr by MattNischan
