September 30, 20223 yr As a Vancouverite, I am disappointed. I haven't even tried it yet, but the reports here will cause me to un install.

September 30, 20223 yr You can uninstall the photogrammetry without having to uninstall the entire world update. You can also uninstall just the POIs, or individual airports etc, all through the content manager. Edited September 30, 20223 yr by Tuskin38

Yay the workaround simulator strikes again 😄 Seriously it would be better if they just made it...well...better in the first place! Can I search by "photogrammetry" in the Canada World Update and uninstall after I search for this keyword? Or do I have to go through each separate photogrammetry content item and check each one I want to uninstall? i5-12400, RTX 3060 Ti, 32 GB RAM

CYFB is my favourite in this update. Edited September 30, 20223 yr by Tuskin38

Click on the 3D photogrammetry cities folder then delete. The PG was limited to the city centre before, but after WU11 it was expanded to the larger area which a) looks terrible and b) introduces a heavy load on the system. The PG for Vancouver was never great, but pre-WU11 it was manageable, especially with freeware Bridges and Vancouver Port added. Edited September 30, 20223 yr by Bert Pieke Bert

The following method is quick and will remove the new expanded photogrammetry, but still leave the pre WU11 PG around downtown Vancouver intact. It also leaves all the other WU 11 upgrades in place. I would assume that all other Canadian cities would also revert to their pre WU11 PG as well, so you still get some photogrammetry, just not the new cities or expanded areas. You do have to restart the sim for the change to take affect. I also had a big performance hit from the new photogrammetry - worse performance around Vancouver than over KLAX or NYC. Never had that issue before this update. 20 minutes ago, Doering said: Content Manager then Canada in the search bar. It will list all the Canada folders. September 30, 20223 yr Anyone else having issues with CYCG Castlegar? Everything goes fine until I reach the threshold of Runway 33 and then I get: Quote The instruction at 0x00007FF7ACDF6CE3 referenced memory at 0x0000000000000000. The memory could not be read. Clicking Exit or X shuts the sim down. It's happened both times I've tried to land there. This was flying the default C172 1000, without any mods. I'll try landing in the other direction and with a different aircraft to see if it makes any difference. Edit: I allowed the sim to start in Safe Mode after the second CTD and everything was fine in either direction for the default CYCG. Restarted the sim in Normal Mode, tried landing on Runway 15 and git the same error. Tired spawning from a parking spot and got a CTD almost the instant I hit "Fly", so there's something wrong with the new CYCG, at least for me. Edit 2: Same issue with CYDA Dawson City Edit 3: and CYDF Deer Lake. Edit 4: and CYFB – Iqaluit International Edit 5: and CYBD Bella Coola😠 CYBD was the only one I tried yesterday, and it was fine, so something has happened since I used the sim last night. Looks like I'll have to try a re-install of the Canada update... September 30, 20223 yr I don't understand why I'm not getting anything like the pictures here of Vancouver and Toronto. I have made several flights at both cities with PG on, and everything is normal. I do have Project YVR Vancouver scenery (joelster-airport-cyvr-vancouver) in my Community folder and had it before and after the update. The only thing I have encountered is I was flying near Jasper and the elevation in the river was jumping around. I could see it doing it in the distance but as I got closer it corrected itself. And in Vancouver, the project YVR is only affecting the airport I think. So perhaps there were server overload issues initially and things have normalized? 7950X3D | RTX 4090 | 64GB DDR5
