WU Canada is out

Have you met Asobo? 😄 SU7 was released and it was a complete shambles for VR and TrackIR users, UK WU Dover Cliffs lod was initially broken on release so it "popped" into view up close (same with Devils Tower after the first USA WU, you had to practically be on top of the thing before it was viewable).

So yes, they could well release with glaring issues as they have history in this department 😞

Do you ever say anything nice about Asobo?

Like I mentioned, the elevation data is excellent in places. I haven't seen any terrain morphing. This is west of Edmonton.

certainly not, just providing evidence that Asobo have released WU (and SU) updates in the past with "glaring errors" so it can be expected that they've done the same with this WU 🙂

It's a VERY BIG PLANET so it's a giant challenge to get everything right--IOW, yes you can absolutely expect errors, some glaring, but truly, on the whole it's mostly, always, quite excellent, and cost everyone exactly no extra money.

Yes, but a Canada update with severe issues in Vancouver and Toronto is not what I would expect.

They could've at least fixed the known bugs issues with Canada during this update, but according to the official forums, even though the bugs are logged - they didn't...

Could someone remind me why it’s better to remove the WU PG. Does Vancouver actually look better?

Yes, the surrounding area returns to normal.

In your opinion (not including the CN tower becasue I think Asobo will fix that) do you think the WU Canada has better photgammetry or Roman Designs?

I cannot seem to decide.

Thanks

Definitely Roman Designs. The tower looks cancerous and deformed with the PG from WU Canada.

Without the tower and the question is not as easy to answer. But it's freeware so there's a very easy way to find out 🙂

You've got 2 overlapping towers there.

The handcrafted CN Tower I linked is better than any photogrammetry ports.

Oh wow, I didn't notice, lol 😅

EDIT: Ah, there's also one included with FSimStudios CYTZ. And they've included some configurations where it is possible to make it compatible with the Roman scenery:

I tested again without any add-on content in the community folder. The glitch is there.

The bug is visible from the Bella Coola Airport runway looking to the east. This is not a mesh error in a very remote area, but very close to the airport itself.

I have Orbx bella  coola installed and I also have the WU11 canada bella coola installed. I flew all around the airport and saw nothing strange. From the RY looking East everything looks perfect. I even flew all around with drone, everything looked perfect to me.

Before I uninstalled the Canada Update (Bella Coola up ahead):
