By default, any tasks in TM that have been missed will run first. I do not have my system running 24/7 and I get auto changes with no issue. Odd… It does not put a "task" in the Task Manager. It puts a "task" in the Task Scheduler. Click Start, type "task scheduler" and hit enter. Should open up the Task Scheduler. In there you should find the REX scheduled task. Since the REX scheduled task is run once per day, on start up or at the specified time, by the time you have logged in and opened Task Manager, the REX scheduled task has probably already finished and exited. ...jim ASUS Prime Z790-E, Intel i9 13900K, 32Gb DDR5 Ram, Nvidia 3090 24Gb, Samsung 970 EVO Plus 500 GB and 1 TB, Samsung Odyssey G9 Ultrawide 49" G-SYNC Monitor.

I poked around and found that the box for "run task as soon as possible after a schedule start is missed" was not checked so it never was ran. Don't know if that is a user setting or a setting that Rex should have coded into the program. @MikeT707 Eric

I too have been wondering about the automated installs. Like others my pc is not on all day so when is best to schedule a task? What if I miss that slot if the pc is still off? What if I set a time and MSFS is currently running? Instructions appear to state REX should not be run when the sim is running, will this cause a problem or will installed trees etc apply the next time the sim is restarted? I checked out the "task scheduler" and like yourself see the "run task as soon as possible after a schedule start is missed" cannot be edited so that it resumes as soon as the pc boots up if later than the chosen time. I am a bit confused at how it operates. March 27, 20233 yr I have mine scheduled for 12:00PM every day. I am not always on line at that time, it does not run. No worries. I just click on the desktop icon for "REX Accuseason" and manually update my season files (same diff.), done. i913900KF (5.8GHz) | Case: Fractal PopAir RGB I Gigabyte Z790 UD AX| MSI Gaming RTX 4070Ti Super 16GB | Kingston Fury Beast 64GB DDR5 5200Mhz | SOLIDIGM P41 Plus 2TB NVMe M.2 SSD | Samsung SSD 870 EVO 2TB | Thermalright Frozen Notte 240 MM Liquid Cooling | LG EVO 42" Monitor 3840 x 2160 120Hz | Honeycomb Alpha & Bravo | Logitech G Pro pedals | Tobii EyeTracker | 850W Thermaltake 80+ GOLD |
March 27, 20233 yr Guys there‘s no need to make too much out of it. You don‘t need to run AccuSeason update every day. It changes on a weekly base, so once a week is enough, and even if you forget that, chances are you probably wonÄt notice the difference between the tree colors of the 3rd week of March and the 4th week of March. For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.
March 27, 20233 yr It would be nice if the Rex updater could shut down itself once it has finished updating. I have set the scheduled task to kill the process after 5 minutes but it is not an elegant solution. I think it's a brilliant piece of marketing as well: this way you think Accuseason basically improves your sim EVERY DAY😉
August 6, 20241 yr I found out that bijanstudio-misc-four-season-pack-v7-5-0 has issues, It will remove the tarmac and runway markings
August 6, 20241 yr I’ve had Bijan’s trees for quite a while now , but haven’t used it since I got AccuSeason. The other day I thought I’d give it another go, but got discouraged from the installation process. Got it through SimMarket and there’s a bunch of files to download, but no installer. Guess there must be a pdf somewhere that explains things? 7950X3D | RTX 4090 | 64GB DDR5
August 6, 20241 yr There should be a readme.txt or install.txt with those files. Installing Bijan's trees is quite easy. It's just drag and drop into your community folder according to which season you want. Owning both, for me Bijan's trees still have the upper hand compared to AccuSeason.

Here I have a folder outside MSFS with all Bijangs folders and files in it. The appropriate folders I enable using Addons Linker. Very easy to do.
