Source for this?

They marked the wx api as fixed, and the dev forums are full of devs essentially coming to this conclusion.

Here's a response on the topic from Asobo:

Take-offs are optional, landings are mandatory.
The only time you have too much fuel is when you're on fire.
To make a small fortune in aviation you must start with a large fortune.

There's nothing less important than the runway behind you and the altitude above you.
It's better to be on the ground wishing you were in the air, than in the air wishing you were on the ground.

The most important thing is that PMDG finally fixed the visor issue.   This is one of the few addon aircraft out there that have fully animated visor deployment sequences (the main reason I bought the 737).   I don't think the majority of us even really care about WX Radar or an integrated EFB.    Also, who really cares how it flies as long as the visor is doing it's thing, right?

No mention about weather radar.

What's going on?

From what I have read (probably on the WT Discord), the way MS have put weather radar in makes it essentially produce a weather radar image rather than the data that the devs need to produce the image in their avionics.

Update?

Where is:

1) The electronic flight bag?
2) Full simbrief integration
3) Texture work
4) Properly modelled interior cabin

I remain interested in the BBJ, but not without what I would consider "standard fixes".

Yikes between this and the Fenix not working in SU11 beta that’s all I need to hold off for a while.  Glad I saw this before joining the beta.

The EFB would have to be programmed in JavaScript/HTML to support direct Simbrief and Navigraph access via the internet in the MSFS environment. There is no other way to do it.

Internet access will eventually come to WASM, but is not available yet. JS/HTML is not a programming environment that PMDG has used before. Perhaps they have recently brought on a JS/HTML guru to the team, but if not, their developers (who have always used C++) probably face a bit of a learning curve.

Internet (or at least HTTP) access looks to have come to WASM in the SU11 beta.

I know it is planned. But PMDG have been working on the EFB for a long time prior to SU11 so I’m sure they are using JS/HTML (although most of the aircraft’s functionality remains in WASM).

Working Title I assume, who make various mods for MSFS

Well i am in the beta and i pretty much only fly the PMDG and the FENIX so i guess i will be doing some prop flying (Eww) for the next couple of weeks. Last night i upgraded to the beta and saw that a few people were having issues with the Fenix.. I said to myself .. meh.. no reports of issues with the PMDG stuff so i promptly set up my test flight from KATL to KCLE and then the gremlins hit.

1. Texture bleed through on the tarmac in DX12 mode is still alive and well

2. AI traffic at KATL (AIG) wont take off (26L)

3. The 737-800 i used compiled fine and i departed KATL no issues but midway into the flight the ND went into a garbled mess. Considering everything else was operational i moved that to the lower DU and kept it moving.

Hopefully PMDG, FENIX and Asobo can figure this out. When i landed at KCLE i wondered to myself if this was a pmdg random failure but upon checking the options it looks like that type of failure wasn't modeled lol so .. definitely a bug.

Correct, although they're a bit more than that now since they're a first party developer..

In some corners of the internet, some users have been commenting that our tablet was expected in September. I think in fairness, they are confusing my comments bout expecting the tablet to enter testing in September. We missed our September guidance on testing, and it will be a while longer before the tablet enters testing prior to release. Either way, testing does not equal release so i wanted to make sure that was clear.

I seem to have lost really excellent performance prior to the update.  I did a complete Win 10/MSFS reinstall a couple of days ago and had just fabulous return to excellent performance, but suddenly that has changed and that is the only change made.

Addendum!  I just remembered I had changed the Fullscreen Optimizations to DISABLED and perhaps this is the culprit for these brief but nasty 'hangs' where video just stops for a brief second and picks up again.  Just reverted back to MSFS installation default which is to leave them ENABLED.  Test flight just starting...

Well, that wasn't it.  Here's what I'm talking about and I did not have this prior to this update...I'm pretty sure!
