Just Flight has recently uploaded a video previewing the Regional AI Aircraft for their upcoming FS Traffic add-on. The regional set includes 12 different airplanes (A220-100, A220-200, ATR-42, ATR-72, CRJ-700, CRJ-900, CRJ-1000, Dash 8-Q400, ERJ-145, E-170, E-190, and E-195) with multiple livery combinations from around the World. The video showcases some of the new planes, the AI traffic interaction with ground service equipment, and the newly added animations and effects.

We are all connected..... To each other, biologically...... To the Earth, chemically...... To the rest of the Universe atomically.

I hope this will be good as it's been in the past.  We need an easy and efficient setup for Traffic that helps the AI situation while Asobo fixes it.

FS2020

Alienware Aurora R11 10th Gen Intel Core i7 10700F - Windows 11 Home 32GB Ram
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super OC 16GB - Pimax Crystal Light VR

I hope the final product is better performance wise than FSLTL. It absolutely wrecks my performance and I have a solid rig.

I hope the will add a GA traffic module soon. The current options all depend on a modded default bgl which has unbelievable traffic. Seems like most GA pilots fly TBM 390's.

For FSX there was a GA-Traffic addon freeware addon that created quite realistic GA flightplans. Less traffic at night, avoided major airports, added touch&go traffic at small airfields etc. Such a module would be great if coupled with a dozen or so new AI models for GA.

Flightsim rig:
CPU: AMD 5900x  | Mobo: MSI X570 MEG Unify | RAM: 32GB G.Skill Trident Z Neo | GPU: Gigabyte RTX 3090 | Storage: M.2 (2 & 4 TB) | PSU: Corsair RM850x | Case: Fractal Define 7 XL
Display: Acer Predator x34 3440x1440 | Speakers: Logitech Z906
Controllers: Fulcrum One Yoke | MFG Crosswind v2 pedals | Honeycomb Bravo Quadrant |Thrustmaster TCA Quadrant | Stream Deck XL & Plus | TrackIR 5 Tobii eye tracking

Hmm, I see a bunch of pretty planes...

Is this comparable to Ultimate Traffic?

It takes mine from mid 50s to 28-30, but only on the ground, which isn’t that critical to me. In the air fps recovers. This add-on will have to be better in several areas to earn my money.

7950X3D | RTX 4090 | 96GB DDR5 | 4K G-Sync | Win11 Pro

The models look decent. I'm just wondering how JF will deal with the simconnect limitations introduced in SU11 that affects both AIG and FSLTL.

7950X3D | RTX 4090 | 64GB DDR5

My main expectation regarding AI traffic is not much the quality of 3D model and liveries but how the injected traffic behaves in the MSFS world. For several months now, I have up and down with SU10 then SU11, with AIG and its injector, with FSLTL, with AI Ground and AI Flow... I'm starting to think that the main issue is on Microsoft/Asobo side and that I don't need one more library of 3D model and livery (not to mention GA) free or payware.

Absolutely, so far, the previews were mainly eye candy and those general things listed on the preview product page are also nothing to make me instantly wanting another AI traffic addon. However, if they would now make a preview showing that they found a workaround for all those shortcomings we currently have due to the bugged AI engine and simconnect issues, I might be one of their first customers.

But another eye candy AI addon? No, but thanks, I'll pass and stick with the two free ones we already have...

Or in other words: so far not a single reason was given by Just Flight, why their product is in any way superior to the freeware ones.

I also hope that the cockpit will not remain empty.

No, I hope there will be a selection of cheese and good coffee on offer in the cockpit!

Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind).

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

  • AIG is still a pain in the bum to update
  • FSTL is missing models/liveries

If this is a more complete package, easier to update and it does come with model matching support for VATSIM then I can see why it may be a good shout for some people. I can't really comment on the "AI" side of things, I don't use that and probably never will as I prefer to doing flying on the vatsim network.

Vote to fix transparent  sun visors having no effect on the sun glare effect in MSFS at: https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/sun-shades-sun-visors-not-influencing-light-in-cockpit/691565/

If it works as well on MSFS as it does on XP12 you will all be happy.

The main issues are on Asobo’s side. There’s nothing third parties can do to fix the main issues.

AIG has some work arounds, but they’re not perfect.

Based on the description, it’s offline flight plans like AIG.
