I want to like it, keep trying to like it, and for some limit VFR flying I do like it ... but that does not change the issues presented here by many of us. So if you want to single me out for some reason, then you should look around and really look at your MSFS experience because you sound like someone who ignores the issues ... for what end game I have no idea because telling MSFS that all is good when it clearly is not doesn't help MS/Asobo improve the product. Maybe you just don't care, but many of us do care, hence the "why are these problems still around 2+ years later"? I'm sorry you don't like our feedback, but MSFS rating from MS Store. Not that I need to prove ownership: Ratings: 3452 ratings and the 1 star exceeds the 5 star ... it has problems that need to be addressed and it's been "long enough" for them to be addressed. I never accused you of not having the sim, I said you SOUNDED like someone who didn't and I stand by that statement. Your hyperbole was ludicrous. You said the sim has no depth but it has the most advanced default avionics of any sim on the market. Quote Are we ever going to get a fully functional weather radar? A working pause? No CTDs when a USB device disconnects? Weather that stays accurate for entire duration of flight? Half these gripes have nothing to do with depth and from my experience (and many others I'm sure) I have no issues with weather maintaining accuracy during flights. 5800X3D. 32 GB RAM. 1TB SATA SSD. 3TB HDD. January 15, 20233 yr About weather not always being accurate,,,, heard this statement pretty much from back in the days of FSX and in xplane, Prepar3D and all its different addons, some addons did better than others, but it was never true to real life. Sometimes I wonder what we really expect? ..it will never be perfect, not now and not in the next ten years, and maybe never... But for me, when first trying MSFS and could actually fly between different fronts and all of this connected almost seamless without to much abrubt changes was a revolution and something I never seen before, so to me that was a big step in the right direction. Drawback was maybe that it relies more on forecast than metars, so not always correct, but it felt way more plausible than the metar aproach used in previous sims.. Like, the weather in MSFS feels alive where in previous sims, it feels static(havent tried xplane 12 so cant comment on that one) ...

Apparently despite all of those times you read my comments you failed to understand what was being referred to: I have absolutely reached perfection in PERFORMANCE with all Ultra, 8x/16x. That means liquid smooth animation of everything (GSX ground vehicles sometimes withstanding), and NO degradation and loss of performance at destination airports no matter the complexity. The 5% was a statement about MSFS' current state of development. January 15, 20233 yr One can always count on at least one long thread per week where someone starts off telling us what is wrong with MSFS and then everyone else starts griping about how it isn't perfect yet.. It really gets old. 🤪
January 15, 20233 yr The main thing that needs fixing at the moment is the unrealistic turbulence/thermal modelling. It is completely unrealistic and makes most aircraft unflyable at times, especially GA aircraft. I just did a flight in the CJ4 which I have not flown in a while and was nearly out of control on final to KCLT with a 6kt wind. Since it happens during daylight hours I have to assume it is more the thermals and also turbulence supposedly being caused by buildings/trees. It is not as obvious to me in the Fenix A320 but the PMDG 737 gets tossed around like a Cessna at times. Agree with many of the other issues listed as well... Im just predicting that when the ten years have passed and the sim still makes money, it makes sense to make MSFS 2... Hey, do you remember when Jorg said this, "that when the sim needs a big rewrite we may have to buy the sim again"? I would love to know when he said this, whether it was an interview, whether it was on video, Twitch, Youtube, etc. I also expect MSFS 2 around 2030. Like you, I expect Microsoft to get us to buy MSFS 2, which would make them another round of decent money. i5-12400, RTX 3060 Ti, 32 GB RAM

Actually, I dont remember, but it was the same video where he explained the ten year plan and why he had to give that estimate.. It was very informative and to me It seems Microsoft is gonna be in for a long run. Unless some Steve Ballmer type of guy gets back into the chair and axe the whole project:p Edited January 15, 20233 yr by Kaboki
January 15, 20233 yr What i misses the most is the external view from p3d. Just a easy way to pan around the center of a plane. Not how it is now with the weird car view external mode. And no the drone mode is not good to fix this. And have the plane on center of th screen. Still can't understand they haven't fixed that. It looks so ugly right know

It looks so ugly right know Fact is, it IS easy -- once you learn how to operate the drone. But that takes effort, sorry. The reality is, MSFS is a new generation sim with new rules and new ways of doing some things. Every flight simmer can accept that or not -- in which case, stay with one of the old sims.

As for the drone camera; practice a lot and it will be second nature due to building up muscle memory. I controle the drone entirely with the keyboard. No Xbox controller in use here. Not an option for some who have their keyboard in an awkward place due to yoke and throttle placement. If the sim bothered to save the settings then the controller would be even easier to use than the mouse and keyboard. Well, it is easier to use than the mouse and keyboard for this kind of application due to the analogue nature of the controls. The problem is the unnecessary setup faff every time you launch the sim. 5800X3D - Strix X570-E - 32GB 3600Mhz DDR4 - AMD RX 9070 XT- Samsung 980 Pro x2
January 16, 20233 yr I would just like to see some very simple items added that will greatly add to the convenience and usability of the sim. 1) Select favourite aircraft. I really only want to the the PMDG 737, Fenix, Cessna 414 and the Kodiak. Everything else can slide into the background. 2) Hardware profiles for each plane that auto load. What a pain having to go into controls each flight and switch around my hardware profiles one by one. (btw, I have a paid version of FSUIPC but it does not seem to work with every setting for all aircraft like it did in P3D. Might be user error on my part but I can't figure it all out, things like the throttles and reversers on the Fenix and PMDG). Edited January 16, 20233 yr by MarkW Mark CYYZ
