Sky colours looking just great recently. Slight banding, but not too glaring.

The mood at sunset is great! With a bit more light bouncing off the cockpit sufaces, it would be almost perfect.

So far no complaints about 12.06b3 save for the still existing crash on exit with FlyWithLua installed and Zink enabled (been like that since 12.04b5; reported to LR).

Wow they really nailed the lighting!

Yeah no kidding. This is the most true to life sky palette in any sim at the moment. Took the MD11 out for a quick spin yesterday

Ignoring the cockpit and just looking at the view out the window, they're nailed it to me, it looks super realistic now with the clouds and lighting.

Here is one from me flying around the lakes in Poland :)

Well, I'm away for a long weekend at the moment and after that, a system upgrade is on the agenda (5800X -> 7950X3D; parts already there). Let's see if Phoronix was right about the X3D's performance in Linux.

But after that yeah, why not.

Yes, the rain is a bit excessive, but it's all the more opportunities to enjoy the rain drops on glass.

The Zink crash only happens on Linux. Could not determine much of a pattern regarding distros or GPU though.

Skimming along Spain's east coast at FL380.

I just love XP12's lighting and weather system.

This is picture is perfect, really perfect.

Honestly, if I didn't know otherwise I would think this is real. Unbelievable.

XP12 is really doing it.

Now if Laminar can get the anti-aliasing right, clouds on the mountainsides and the cloud shadows, XP12 will be close to perfection.

Nice shot Bjoern. 🙂
It would have been even nicer if Xp12 didn't have that awful "eyes autoexposure" feature that burned (hyperexposed) your sunset.
I've already been discussing this absurd feature for months, its practical uselessness, and its ability to destroy all the good things generated by XP12. 💣💥
I too have experienced its deleterious effect.

This is the new realistic sunset generated by Xp12.06.
It's beautiful ! 🥰

A330-2023-07-31-16-26-27.jpg

But when I got into the cockpit the "eyes autoexposure" feature destroyed that masterpiece sunset! 😡🤮
My sunset has become the same as your sunset… pale… blinding… hyper exposed… sky colors completely changed. 😭

I hope that in v12.07 the eyes autoexposure feature (= "graphic destroy feature!") will be made a selectable/deselectable option of the customer's choice!
I would like to fly into the future while keeping all the graphic beauty generated by XP12 unchanged.
I don't want to see this beauty destroyed by useless and annoying features.
