Potential improvements for sky colors

Featured Replies

I have a few questions for the ones who have already tried this fix.

Does this also affect day time sky colors ?

Does this fix the greenish hue the sim has been plagued with ?

I think this reply was for me, the values I used in my comparison are (0.00508 , 0.00318 , 0.0). The values in the video are ( 0.0027234, 0.0018310 , -0.000083096). I think using the ones in the video I see a little bit more green tint in the horizon when the sun is getting down.

Indeed, the post was aimed to you, sorry to you and Outermarker for the hickup.
I may try to change the values a second time, but it already looks much more pleasant than default.

This is a really much needed/desired improvement to make sky colors more convincing.

I was not allowed to copy&paste the encrypted .exe but I was able to paste&replace it with the decrypted one, then edited the values, launched the sim and it worked.

Well, I followed this tutorial https://github.com/jet2code/arpc-injector/issues/1  Additionally I tried to copy the original .exe to have a backup but I wasn't allowed so just I replaced it with the decrypted .exe UWPDumper had just created and that worked. Then used HxD to edit the values and that was it.

Where did you find the pid number?

Open UWPInjector while MSFS is running and FlightSimulator.exe will show up in that list, the green number next to it is the PID. Enter that number on the bottom where it says "Enter ProcessID:"

I thought you was using Reshade with the Final light preset that fixes the green tint?

No and no (if with the greenish hue you mean the green terrain textures in some places).

anybody tried this successfully with the the latest MSFS beta? I read in the official forum this hack wouldn't work with the latest beta .EXE anymore, which would apply to everybody after the SU13 retail launches on september 28. I am also hesitant as the floating point value showed up in two separate hex addresses in the debugger. (beta store version, using UWPInjector).
