June 27, 2025Jun 27 They have an idiotic feature called 'slow mode' which won't allow you to edit your post more than a few times in a given period. This is nonsense. I was updating my post because I was trying to report on the stupid latest beta update. I edited twice and the third time they killed my edit with this inane slow mode. June 27, 2025Jun 27 Can you imagine them (Masobo) participating in the Simworld exhibition? People would be able to tell them all what they think without any censorship.

September 21, 2025Sep 21 Well, I've been banned on the MSFS forum, I think, I'm not sure. I took a break from MSFS (on Xbox) after the launch of 2024 (because it was so bad), and decided to use the time to build a PC. My rationale was that MSFS 2024 would likely get better, and if it did not, I would have the options of trying X-Plane, DCS, etc. The PC build was a challenge and rewarding. I kept up with the forums, and as MSFS 2024 is now slowly improving with the progress of Sim Updates, I decided to re-join the beta testing on my new PC, because at least then I could give constructive feedback and trade troubleshooting tips. Yesterday, in the main SU4 Discussion Thread, someone posted they had good results deleting caches, scenery indexes, and content files. I had not heard of deleting some of those, so I asked: Quote "For those (like me) who still don't know where all of these hidden things are, can you list the locations and steps?". Instantly my post was flagged by the "system" as "inappropriate or harmful". For the life of me I could not understand why, so I rephrased, and mentioned that I wasn't sure if it was a Code of Conduct violation to ask the question, but to let me know. This got me kicked out. I'm in disbelief. I'm a regular poster, I ask questions, I try to help those who ask questions (from my limited experience), and I file bug reports. I am also vocal in my criticism of some of the decisions of Jorg Neumann and Phil Spencer - however, I keep it civil and constructive, because I ultimately want MSFS and flight simulation to improve and be healthy, so we can all enjoy it. Afterwards by private message from TheSevenflyer, I was told the initial flag was by the system (so their AI bot) that my question was "off topic", and when I rephrased the question, that was called "not listening to staff". But I had not heard from anyone before rephrasing - only the bot. I did not intend harm, and was only asking for details about a post... what Orwellian nightmare is this? In the end, I realize I am upset because I had formed something of a shared camaraderie with other enthusiasts and bug testers, and was being cut off. However, I also realize how unhealthy I feel trying to tip-toe around the very Napoleonic and arbitrary application of the rules. I've just read this entire thread, and I will echo other's experiences with HesterMT40 - I ended up being banned by (him/her) a while back, and I wrote some letters complaining that the forum was the "official support forum" and to deny a customer access when I had simply not violated any TOS in any demonstrable way (Hester's arguments were spurious at best, just plain targeting at worst), they let me back on, and apparently along with other's complaints, he/she isn't there (although I'm starting to wonder). Since the beginning of September, the tone has changed, and the number of messages being "flagged" by regular, positive, contributing members has had a marked increase. It's ironic, because the sim and positive feedback is starting to improve - at least the base simulator. All of the "services" and default planes still badly need work. I think they are really starting to censor for 2 reasons: the anniversary of the launch is coming up, so there will be criticism if the sim has not improved significantly at that milestone. And also, there is a fairly credible rumour that MSFS will be launching on Playstation (or that Xbox Game Pass content will come to Playstation, and they want to, I don't know, make sure dissent is at a minimum? The MSFS forums have been a daily habit, but for my health and sanity, I have to quit - or I've been banned. Either way, sad. And I hope AVSim forums are friendly. Cheers.

September 21, 2025Sep 21 Commercial Member I asked why my SU4-related post had been merged into the SU3 thread, and got the "The community has flagged your post" message 😂 They also edited my original post to be "more respectful". All I asked was "who thought this was a good idea - has anyone from Asobo ever flown a long haul using this simulator?" when questioning why they thought chucking up a huge "Connect to the internet" full screen overlay was a good idea when a) the airport I was landing at was right in front of me and b) the scenery didn't even require an internet connection because it was pre-downloaded. September 21, 2025Sep 21 this seems to be a common thing on forums these days. any negativity or asking questions they don't want to answer and you are 'edited' or banned. inibuilds are the kings of this. why does the rain fall on the inside of the a350 hud?... banned why are you listing things as fixed in changelogs when they are not?... banned MSI Z790i Edge | i7-14700K | EK 360AIO | 32GB DDR5 6400mhz | nVidia RTX5080 | Acer Predator 34"

Without ever having visited the inibuilds forum, there are ways to ask questions nicely and there are ways to appear confrontational and/or aggressive. There are also cultural differences, which can result in what one person thinks is a reasonable way to ask something, being offensive to someone from a different cultural background. "why does the rain fall on the inside of the a350 hud?" could be rephrased as "it appears that rain falls on the inside of the a350 hud, could you take a look please? "why are you listing things as fixed in changelogs when they are not?" could be rephrased as "there appear to be items in the changelog that may not have been implemented, could you check please"

September 22, 2025Sep 22 MSFS forums are pretty much useless. I have a few links to the announcements, to the dev support forum (they call it Dev support, but it's rather unsupported, a joke at times...). I've long given up on those forums... October 23, 2025Oct 23 Here we go, Google showed me this topic and i wanted to Sign-In and contribute. 🙂 1) So this is what i wrote and got removed next day. 2) Below is what i received from the Moderator. No problems. 3) My response to the moderator and the answer i received. 4) I re-wrote the message less harsh thinking being too much previously. Removed again by the same moderator. So, this is my personal opinion and i respect if someone thinks the opposite. Same moderator, removing/hiding the 2nd message is unacceptable. This is not code of conduct, this is despotism to me. BONUS: This is what i wrote 1 year ago and it is still there 😄. I think Code of Conduct was different before.
