February 16, 20242 yr Since Joining SU15, I started getting CTDs unfortunately. In SU14, there were none. Hopefully they will be fixed quickly. Not really wanting to go back because the performance improvements are a big factor in SU15
February 16, 20242 yr I've read nearly every post in this thread because the comment about performance improvements caught my eye. I've being playing with flight sim for about 3 decades and over the years I have seen measurable small incremental improvements in performance form one update to next. Definitely something to be happy about. When I see words like amazing and awesome being used it makes me suspicious that it placebo. Especially when I see graphs from post update test and the poster swears blind that its better than it was before the update. Anyway, I decided to stay away from beta's and sure enough this one broke the PMDG 737 but I hardly do any simming these days so I'll just leave it installed. I specifically set up a test with the 737 on 31L at JFK at 10am scattered clouds, AI traffic, unmodified exterior tail view, took off and lifted the gear running CapFrameX for 60 seconds from full throttle. I did this with SU14 and then I repeated it as exactly as possible with SU15 with exactly the same settings both times. The only difference is the gear didn't retract in the SU15 test because it seems the update broke the 737 Stuttering 0.3% for both (two big frame time spikes on the graph and two medium in a 60 second period) and all other results were virtually exactly the same on my well maintained and tuned system and I could see no difference with the naked eye. February 16, 20242 yr I’m actually curious what is going wrong for you. I’ve been doing the sim thing for a long time and also have finally tuned hardware. This update basically restored the lost performance I had a couple sim updates ago on mobile now. So can’t see your hardware signature if you have one 5800X3D, 4090FE, 64GB DDR4 3600C16, Gigabyte X570S MB, EVO 970 M.2's, Alienware 3821DW and 2 22" monitors, Corsair RM1000x PSU, 360MM MSI MEG, MFG Crosswind, T16000M Stick, Boeing TCA Yoke/Throttle, Skalarki MCDU and FCU, Logitech Radio Panel/Switch Panel, Spad.Next

February 16, 20242 yr Commercial Member First flight in progress from YBBN to YSSY. Inibuilds a300 So far: Better performance Clouds and weather seem better Getting lighting and thunderstorms in clouds out of YBBN Not sure if handling is better since it hasnt been activated on the a300 im assuming, but does handle a little better on ground. Might be placebo.

The flights were fine but I did notice if I walked away for 10-15 minutes, when I came back to the PC and moved my mouse the gear actually extended. It happened 3 or 4 times. Also, when loading up a new flight the panel is messed up about half the time and I have to back out to main menu and/or restart the flight. February 16, 20242 yr I am not seeing performance improvements either. More stutters. 7950X3D | RTX 4090 | 96GB DDR5 | 4K G-Sync | Win11 Pro
February 16, 20242 yr I had performance improvements yesterday, after installing the beta. Today...not so much.

I found turning SMT off harmed performance (introduced stutters in the sim). Instead, try undervolting your CPU using a negative value in the PBO curve optimiser–I use -25 as an all core value (rather than taking the time and effort to test and run what's possible on individual cores). PPT lowered to 95W and EDC to 90A (TDC left at 70A). Result is a cooler CPU that boosts to and holds its maximum frequency much longer.
